ADX nedir?

J. Welles Wilder tarafından geliştirilen Average Directional Movement Index (ADX), yönünden bağımsız olarak bir trendin gücünü ölçmek için kullanılan teknik bir göstergedir. ADX, Pozitif Yönlü Gösterge (+DI) ve Negatif Yönlü Gösterge (-DI)'den türetilir, ancak trend yönünü değil, yalnızca gücü gösterir.

ADX değerleri 0 ile 100 arasında değişir. Genel olarak, 20–25'in altındaki değerler zayıf veya var olmayan bir trendi (yatay piyasa) gösterirken, 25'in üzerindeki değerler güçlü bir trendi gösterir. 50'nin üzerindeki değerler çok güçlü bir trende işaret eder. ADX, piyasanın trend içinde mi yoksa yatay mı olduğunu tespit etmede özellikle yararlıdır; traderların trend takip stratejileri mi yoksa yatay piyasa stratejileri mi kullanacağına karar vermelerine yardımcı olur. Yönlü göstergelerin aksine, ADX hem yükseliş hem de düşüş trendleri güçlendiğinde artar.
