Follow a master account from another terminal on the same computer.

CopyTrade Local Receiver is the follower side of a trade copier. Paste the Receiver code shown on CopyTrade Local Sender (CT-XXXX-XXXX) into its inputs, and this account opens, modifies and closes the same trades as the master.

The data is exchanged through the common data folder of MetaTrader on the same computer. Nothing is sent over the internet. The master may be MT4 or MT5 and may be with a different broker.

What is copied

  • Market orders, closes and partial closes
  • SL/TP and their changes
  • Pending orders (limit and stop), their changes and cancellations

Features

  • Different symbol names between brokers are matched automatically (for example XAUUSD and GOLD), and SL/TP and pending prices are placed at this broker's price level. A manual symbol mapping is also available
  • Lot: multiplier of the master's lot, fixed lot or equity ratio. Contract size differences are converted
  • Receiver first (default): once you change a copied trade by hand, your decision is kept. Closes on the master are always copied. Full copy mode is also available
  • Protection: skip new copies by spread, margin level, maximum number of trades, symbol filter or distance from the master's price
  • Broker checks before each order: lot limits, margin, minimum stop distance, freeze level and trading hours
  • Catches up after a stop. Restarting MT never opens the same trade twice
  • Alerts by panel, popup, e-mail and push notification when a trade cannot be copied, and a daily CSV log
  • MT5 netting accounts are supported as followers

Measured on demo accounts (MT5 and MT4 on the same computer): opens, SL/TP changes, closes and close-all were copied in 0.5 to 1.0 seconds, in both directions. When the master terminal was closed, the follower showed "The Sender EA has stopped" at 16 seconds and kept its trades. When the master returned, copying resumed.

Requirements

  • Runs on the same computer and the same Windows user as CopyTrade Local Sender. A VPS works when all terminals are on that VPS
  • Keep the terminals running while copying
  • One Receiver per follower account. Up to 10 Receivers per Sender

Strategy Tester

A copier needs a live counterpart, so it cannot copy inside the Strategy Tester. In the tester the EA opens one minimum-lot trade a day during trading hours and closes it about an hour later, only to show that it runs. It never does this on a real or demo account.

This tool copies trades between your own accounts and does not promise any profit. Trading involves risk.
