NEW YORK BREAKER — Opening Range Breakout for US100
Breakout strategy at the New York session open, optimized for NAS100/US100. No martingale, no grid, no empty promises.
LAUNCH OFFER: introductory price of 149 USD for a limited time. Price will increase soon.
My story
I started trading 6 years ago. Like many, I thought the fastest path to financial freedom was buying a "miracle" EA on the MQL5 Market. I bought several. Almost all were the same thing in disguise: martingale, grid, "self-recovery". Beautiful results for months, and then a single trade would wipe the entire account.
It took time, losses, and study to start understanding what actually works versus what is just marketing.
Works:
- Simple and transparent logic
- Well-defined risk per trade
- Visible stop loss, calculated position size
- Favourable Risk:Reward (1:5, 1:10)
- Honest backtest with real ticks
Doesn't work:
- Multiplying lots after losses
- Stacking positions without SL
- "Self-recovery" and its variants
The New York Breaker is the practical result of everything I learned in these years. It's the EA I wished I had found when I started.
How it works
The strategy is called Opening Range Breakout (ORB) and is one of the most respected institutional trading strategies for decades.
Principle: after the New York session opens, the EA observes the first minutes (configurable: 15, 30 or 60 min) and marks the High and Low of that range.
When price breaks this range:
- Above the High → goes long (buy)
- Below the Low → goes short (sell)
The Stop Loss naturally sits on the opposite side of the range. The Take Profit is configurable in risk multiples (1:5, 1:10, etc.). Lot size is automatically calculated based on the user's defined risk percentage.
Advantages
- Fixed and controlled risk on every trade — no surprises
- No martingale, no grid, no averaging
- High R:R enables profitability with low win rate (30-40% is enough)
- Independent filters to refine the strategy (EMA, days, range size)
- Works in backtest and live — robust order trigger detection for Strategy Tester
- Optional trailing stop in points or as percentage of the range
- Automatic Break-Even at configurable R-multiple
- Visual dashboard on the chart with all relevant info
