Breakout Map Engine
Breakout Map Engine is a chart-based analysis tool for MetaTrader 5 designed to help traders understand breakout context rather than generate direct trading signals.
The tool focuses on a common problem in gold trading (XAUUSD): breakouts often look convincing at first, but many of them fail shortly after. This makes it difficult to decide whether a move should be followed or avoided.
Instead of providing entry signals, the tool visualizes key levels and evaluates the surrounding conditions so that traders can judge the quality of a breakout more clearly.
Purpose and Use
Breakout Map Engine is intended as a decision-support tool.
It does not execute trades and does not attempt to predict price direction.
Its purpose is to provide structured context around price behavior, especially near potential breakout levels.
Typical usage:
- identifying whether price is approaching a meaningful level
- distinguishing between early breakout attempts and confirmed moves
- recognizing situations where a breakout is likely to fail
- avoiding trades taken in the middle of a range or after extended moves

Core Functionality
The tool combines chart visualization with a compact information panel.
On the chart:

Breakout Evaluation Logic

- repeated testing of the same level
- candle expansion and rejection (body vs wick behavior)
- available space to the next opposing level
- presence of nearby liquidity or congestion
From these inputs, the tool derives:
- a breakout quality estimate (relative strength of the move)
- a fake-break risk estimate (likelihood of failure)
- a simplified interpretation for practical use
The goal is not to predict outcomes, but to reduce ambiguity when price is near decision points.
Panel Information
The panel provides a structured summary of the current market context:
- symbol and timeframe
- higher timeframe bias (daily / H4)
- nearest relevant level and distance
- breakout condition state (e.g. approaching, testing, confirmed, failed)
- breakout quality estimate
- fake-break risk estimate
- available expansion room
- final interpretation (WAIT, WATCH, VALID BREAK, AVOID)
The interpretation is intentionally simplified to support quick decision-making without relying on multiple indicators.
Visual Interface
The interface is designed to remain readable without covering the chart.
- chart elements are limited to key levels and zones
- panel layout is compact and consistent across timeframes
- updates are controlled to avoid unnecessary redraw
- no external indicators are required
The tool aims to provide context while keeping price action visible.
Use with Gold (XAUUSD)
