Rule-Based Gold Breakout Trading for MetaTrader 4
Aurum Nova is an automated Expert Advisor intended for gold trading. It combines breakout entry rules, built-in trade management and a read-only dashboard in a self-contained MT4 application.
The strategy evaluates recent price ranges and price-movement efficiency to manage buy-stop and sell-stop entries. Defined signal and order-management rules provide a consistent framework for automated execution.
Launch Pricing and Limited Availability
Aurum Nova starts at USD 30. The price is scheduled to increase by USD 100 after every 10 paid full-version licenses sold, up to a final price of USD 1,299. The final increase will be adjusted to reach this price cap.
- Licenses 1-10: USD 30.
- Licenses 11-20: USD 130.
- Licenses 121-130: USD 1,230.
- Licenses 131 onward: USD 1,299.
Total full-version sales are limited to 1,000 licenses worldwide. New full-version sales will end once this allocation has been sold. This sales limit is separate from the device activations included with each purchase under MQL5 licensing rules.
The price displayed on the MQL5 product page at the time of purchase is the applicable purchase price.
How the strategy works
Aurum Nova evaluates price-efficiency conditions and identifies breakout levels around recent highs and lows. Pending orders are managed according to its entry and execution rules.
Trade management combines preset stop-loss settings, volatility-based profit targets and trailing-stop logic. The effective reward-to-risk relationship can vary with market conditions; it is not a fixed ratio.
The strategy does not use grid-based loss recovery or martingale lot doubling.
Main features
- Gold-focused setup: XAUUSD is the recommended instrument, with H1 as the recommended chart timeframe.
- Built-in trade management: Core stop-loss, profit-target, trailing-protection and entry-adjustment settings are embedded in this edition.
- Balance-based position sizing: Money management estimates volume from account balance, the risk setting and stop-loss distance. Fixed-lot trading is also available.
- Broker-aware execution checks: The EA checks price increments, minimum stop distances, freeze levels, volume steps and available margin before relevant trading requests.
- Standalone installation: No external custom indicators, DLLs or additional image files are required.
- Read-only dashboard: View connection status, algorithmic-trading permissions, session information, balance, equity, free margin, EA floating P/L and order counts.
Available settings
Money management:
Enable percentage-based sizing or select fixed lots. Adjust the risk percentage, maximum volume and volume precision. The default percentage-risk setting is 2%; this is a sizing input, not a guaranteed maximum loss.
Signals and execution:
Adjust the efficiency-ratio period, breakout lookback, entry delay, execution slippage and pending-order replacement preference. Core SL/TP and advance-entry settings remain built in.
Trading schedules and filters:
Optional settings include trading windows, weekend restrictions, Friday and end-of-day exits, maximum daily trades and distance-from-market limits. These features are not all enabled by default. All schedule times use broker server time.
Account-level closing conditions:
Optional floating-profit/loss thresholds can close positions across the account, including trades from other strategies. Both thresholds are disabled by default. Review this scope carefully before enabling them.
Identification and display:
Customize the magic number, order comment and dashboard display. Defaults are magic number 5168 and comment AurumNova.
Advanced options also include tick-size handling and whether pending orders are included in account-wide closing.
Recommended use
Attach the EA to your broker's gold chart, normally XAUUSD H1, and begin with the supplied defaults in a demo account. Other chart periods change the strategy's calculations and require separate evaluation.
Select account size and position sizing with reference to your broker's contract specifications, minimum volume and margin requirements. There is no account balance that makes trading risk-free. If the requested risk budget cannot support the minimum tradable volume, the EA may skip an entry.
When disabling percentage-based money management, review the fixed-lot setting before use. Test with realistic spreads, commissions, swaps and execution delays. Backtesting and demo trading cannot reproduce every live-market condition.
Use a unique magic number for separate EA instances. Finish managing existing positions and pending orders before changing their identification settings.
Dashboard note
Session DD measures account-equity drawdown from the peak recorded since the dashboard was attached. It is a display statistic, not an automatic drawdown circuit breaker.
