EMA Clock
- Индикаторы
- Версия: 1.0
EMA Clock reads the slope of an exponential moving average as the hour hand of a clock.
How it works
The slope of the EMA over a chosen number of bars is normalized by the ATR, converted into an angle and then into a clock hour:
- 12:00 - the average is rising steeply (hand pointing up)
- 15:00 - the average is flat (hand pointing right)
- 18:00 - the average is falling steeply (hand pointing down)
Each hour equals 30 degrees. Normalizing by the ATR keeps the reading comparable across symbols and timeframes.
Zones
You define an UP zone and a DOWN zone in clock hours (default: 12:00 to 14:00 for up, 15:30 to 17:00 for down). The line, the clock hand and the arc on the dial change color according to the zone: up, down or neutral.
Display
- Colored line in a subwindow with the history of the hand (it can be inverted so that rises point up)
- Analog clock on the main chart, in the indicator subwindow, or both, in any corner, with adjustable size and colors
- The clock can show the current (forming) candle or the last closed candle
- 24h (14:30) or 12h (2:30) format
- Real hour of each bar in the Data Window
Alerts
Optional pop-up alert with sound when the hand leaves the neutral area and enters the UP zone and/or the DOWN zone. Alerts can use the current candle (earlier, at most one alert per candle) or the last closed candle (confirmed).
Language
Texts on the chart and alert messages appear in English or Portuguese, automatically following the terminal language, or chosen manually in the parameters.
Main parameters
- EMA period, bars used to measure the slope, ATR period, sensitivity, applied price
- Zone limits and colors
- What to show, clock position and size, hour format, candle shown on the clock
- Alerts
Notes
EMA Clock is an analysis tool. It does not open trades and does not guarantee results. Test the settings on your symbol and timeframe before relying on them.
