Why ChronoReplay

Practising on live markets is slow and expensive, and the Strategy Tester was never made for manual trading: you cannot rewind, drag a stop or see a real journal. ChronoReplay turns MetaTrader 5 into a bar-replay trainer, so you can trade months of history in an evening and see in a clear report how your setup performed, before you risk money.

  • Every timeframe in sync. Open M5, M15 and H1 of the replay symbol: all charts move together, with your own indicators and drawings.
  • Your broker's data. The same candles, real ticks, spreads and sessions you trade live; no external feed.
  • Correct profit in the past. Profit and margin are converted at the exchange rate of the replay time, not today's rate (USDJPY, EURGBP or gold on an EUR account).
  • Prop-firm rules built in. Practise under daily loss, max loss, target and consistency rules before you pay for a challenge.
  • A journal you can export. Notes, MAE/MFE, R and screenshots per trade; CSV for TradeZella, Edgewonk or any spreadsheet.

1. Replay

  • Full control: play, pause, step bar by bar, rewind, jump a day or a week, or go to any date
  • Click a candle (or Ctrl+click) to continue from there
  • Speed: x1 to x4h and MAX; quiet nights and weekends are skipped automatically
  • Jump to the next London or New York open, or to 5 minutes before the next calendar event
  • Real ticks inside each minute with the historical spread, or a fast synthetic path
  • Blind mode (dates and times hidden), random start and drills: short random sessions with a score
  • Companion symbol: a second pair, for example GBPUSD, follows the same replay time

2. A virtual broker that charges every cost

  • Orders: market, limit and stop; drag SL and TP on the chart; breakeven, close half, auto-breakeven
  • Long / Short tool: drag entry, stop and target and see risk, reward and R:R before you place it
  • Sizing: % risk, money risk or fixed lots; the default stop is 1x ATR(14) of H1 for every symbol
  • Fast input: type a value or use the mouse wheel for size, stop and target
  • Costs: historical spread, commission, swaps, slippage (also on stops), gaps and stop-out
  • Rewind restores the account exactly as it was

3. Built for prop-firm challenges

Enter the firm's rules and trade as if the evaluation is running: daily loss, maximum loss (static or trailing), profit target, minimum trading days and an optional consistency rule (the best day may be at most a set share of the profit). A breach closes everything and locks trading, just like a real challenge.

4. Journal, statistics and report

  • Journal: setup, your note, MAE/MFE, costs and gaps for every trade; click a trade to see it on the chart
  • Statistics: win rate, profit factor, expectancy in money and R, SQN, drawdown and streaks, by setup, session, weekday and hour
  • Your sessions: compare results from session to session and follow your progress over weeks
  • HTML report (printable as PDF): equity curve, R distribution, MAE chart and entry and exit screenshots
  • Fresh start: New session with a start date of your choice, or Clear history; earlier results stay in Your sessions

  • A shortcut for every action; F1 shows them all
  • Wins and losses on the chart as light boxes with ✓ / ✗ and the result in R, or a minimal mode that keeps the candles clean

ChronoReplay trains you to trade by hand. Pentad Multi Strategy EA tests and trades rules automatically, against every cost. Panoptic Market Dashboard shows the context of every market you follow in plain words. Three separate products; each works on its own.

Up and running in three steps

  1. Set the chart history once. Tools, Options, Charts: Max. bars in chart = Unlimited, then restart MetaTrader.
  2. Drag ChronoReplay onto a normal chart, for example EURUSD, and press OK. It creates the replay symbol EURUSD.cr and switches the chart to it.
  3. Press Space. The "Start here" card shows the three keys you need first.

Something missing? If history or chart settings are not right, the panel does not fail silently: it names the cause, lists the steps to fix it and offers a Retry button. The quick start (PDF) is attached in the Comments tab.

Good to know

  • Free demo: in the visual Strategy Tester you can try the panel and the virtual broker on the tester history. The replay itself (rewind, speed, any timeframe, dragging) runs on a normal chart. Without visual mode the EA only opens and closes one minimum lot on the tester account for the automatic check.
  • No requotes and no partial fills; the liquidity of the past cannot be reproduced exactly.
  • Currency conversion uses the historical rate of the conversion pair. If that pair is not in your terminal, today's rate is used and the panel says so.
  • Futures and exchange symbols (not forex or CFD) use MetaTrader's own profit calculation at today's tick value.
  • The calendar shows events, not their effect. Long ranges with real ticks use more memory; a Lite mode is available.
  • MetaTrader 5 only; no MT4 or mobile version.
