Multi-Symbol Trend Pyramid EA — structure-based stops, volatility-filtered entries

Overview

A systematic, multi-symbol trend-following Expert Advisor. It trades a configurable basket of instruments from a single chart, entering only in the direction of the higher-timeframe trend, on controlled pullbacks, and only when volatility is in a tradable range. Winners are managed with a structure-based stop, breakeven protection, and a Chandelier trailing stop, with optional pyramiding into established moves.

There is no martingale, no grid, and no averaging down. Every position is opened with a defined stop loss and sized from a fixed percentage of account risk.

The EA capitalizes on strong trends and cuts losses quickly during weaker trends. Therefore, a short period is not enough to judge the efficiency of the product.

How it works

• Higher-timeframe trend filter — goes long only when the fast EMA is above the slow EMA, short only when below.
• Pullback entry — waits for price to retrace to a moving average with RSI in a defined zone, then enters on a momentum trigger back in the trend direction.
• Volatility regime filter — an ATR-percentile band skips dead, low-range markets and avoids over-extended volatility spikes.
• Risk-based sizing — each trade is sized from a configurable risk percentage and the distance to a structure-based stop. Per-symbol risk overrides are supported.
• Trade management — initial stop at a recent swing high/low with asset-class-aware buffers (FX, metals, indices, crypto), breakeven after a configurable profit multiple, then a Chandelier trailing stop that only activates once a trade is well in profit.
• Pyramiding (optional) — adds to a winning position only when a fresh pullback-and-trigger occurs and the trade has progressed further, never blindly. Add sizes are reduced on each step and capped.
• Capital protection — an optional emergency circuit breaker flattens all positions if margin usage relative to equity exceeds a set threshold, then pauses new entries for a cooldown.

Recommended use

• Account type: a hedging account is recommended for the intended pyramiding behavior.
• Timeframes: H1 or H4 for forex and metals (H4 is cleaner, fewer trades); H4 for indices; D1 for crypto.
• A 24/7 VPS is recommended for uninterrupted operation.
• Make sure the symbol names in your inputs match your broker's exactly (suffixes such as .m , + , etc.). Symbols your broker does not offer are skipped automatically.

Before going live

Backtest the EA on your own broker's data across multiple instruments and market conditions, then run it on a demo account, before committing real capital. Markets and broker conditions differ, and results on one broker, account size, or period will not match another.
