OrbPulse — NAS100 Scalper
One moment. One trade. Surgical precision. Built by uGenesys and refined across thousands of historical Nasdaq sessions.
OrbPulse is a lean, disciplined day-trading robot for the US Tech 100 index. Every morning it measures the New York opening range, waits for the 10:00 snapshot, and takes a single high-probability continuation trade in the direction the market is already pushing. No grid. No martingale. No averaging down — one clean trade per day, a hard time-stop, and a tight trailing lock on winners.
How it works
- Builds the 9:30–9:45 NY opening range (high & low).
- At 9:59:58 NY it takes a one-shot snapshot: price above the range → BUY, below the range → SELL, inside the range → no trade that day.
- Protective stop at the opposite side of the range; a hard time-stop exits trades that don't work quickly.
- Tight trailing stop locks profit once a winner runs. One trade per day maximum.
- New York session offset is auto-detected live on any broker, with full daylight-saving handling.
⭐ Recommended symbol
Use OrbPulse on the Nasdaq-100 index CFD only — named NAS100, USA100, US100, USTEC or NDX100 depending on your broker. It is tuned specifically for the Nasdaq-100 and is not designed for forex pairs, gold, or other indices.
Timeframe: any. The logic is tick-based, so M1, M5, M15 and H1 produce identical trades (M15 recommended).
Lot size / risk
The default Risk Mode is Fixed Lots, so Risk Amount is simply the lots per trade. Realistic baselines on NAS100 — roughly 1.0 lot per $1,000 of equity:
| Account size | Lot size (Risk Amount) |
|---|---|
| $100 | 0.10 lot |
| $1,000 | 1.0 lot |
| $100,000 | 10.0 lot |
Scale it however you prefer — these are starting points, not rules. This is an aggressive, high-leverage baseline suited to prop-challenge accounts; for a gentler ride use a smaller lot (e.g. 0.5 per $1,000). Prefer automatic sizing? Switch Risk Mode to USD Amount or Account % and the robot sizes each position for you.
How to backtest
- Open the MT5 Strategy Tester.
- Symbol: your broker's Nasdaq-100 (NAS100 / USA100 / US100 / USTEC).
- Timeframe: any (M15 recommended). Model: every tick or 1-minute OHLC.
- Set Risk Amount to the lot for your account (see table above).
- Run a multi-year period to see how it behaves across different markets.
Time-zone note: the Strategy Tester cannot read a broker's GMT offset (an MT5 limitation), so OrbPulse uses the Backtest NY Offset input for tests. The default (−7) is correct for the vast majority of brokers (those on EET server time). If the opening range looks shifted, adjust that one input. Live trading always auto-detects, so this only matters for backtests.
Inputs
| Input | What it does |
|---|---|
| Risk Mode | Fixed Lots / USD Amount / Account % |
| Risk Amount | Lot size (or $ / % depending on mode) |
| Use Bias Filter | Trade only with the higher-timeframe trend (OFF by default) |
| Bias Timeframe | H4 / D1 / W1 trend reference for the bias filter |
| Backtest NY Offset | Broker→NY hours for backtests only (−7 fits most brokers) |
The robot ships ready-to-run on its proven default settings. The optional bias filter is OFF by default, so you get the original validated behaviour out of the box.
