Trade Guardian Pro

Trade Guardian Pro is a loss protection utility for MetaTrader 5. It watches the account and closes all positions before a daily or total loss limit is reached. It works on a personal broker account, on a funded account or on an evaluation account, and it also supervises trades opened manually or by other Expert Advisors. Daily and total loss, profit target, minimum trading days and risk alerts are shown in one chart dashboard, with a safety buffer that acts before the limit itself.

How it works

On a personal account you set your own daily and total loss in percent or money and the EA enforces them day after day. On an evaluation or funded account you load the preset of your firm and the same protection follows the rules of that firm. Enter the account size and the guard is active; nothing changes in the way you trade.

Presets for evaluation firms

Ready-made settings are included for FTMO Challenge, Verification and Funded (standard and Swing), The5ers Challenge and Funded, MyForexFunds Challenge and Funded. Selecting a preset fills in the daily loss, total loss, profit target, minimum trading days, news and weekend rules. Five free user slots are available for other firms. Presets are stored in a plain editable text file, so limits can be changed or new sets added without recompiling, and any single rule can be overridden from the inputs.

Loss protection

Daily and total loss limits are set in percent of the account size. The drawdown can be dynamic (profit adds buffer) or static, measured on balance or on equity. A safety buffer, separate for daily and total, closes positions and deletes pending orders while the account is still inside the limit. The dashboard shows the price level at which the protection will act, how much of the limit is used and how much is left, together with closed profit, floating profit and the worst drawdown of the day.

Objectives and midnight guard

A profit target with progress bar and an alert at a chosen percentage of the target, a minimum trading days counter, and a countdown to the next daily reset (broker day or custom time). In the minutes before the reset, the midnight guard checks the floating loss and closes positions that would consume the allowance of the next day; the threshold is a percentage of the daily limit.

Risk alerts

Alerts for trades without stop loss, oversized lots, risk per trade above a maximum, too many open positions or too many trades in a day, hedging and martingale patterns, high impact news before and after the release, trading hours and weekend holding restrictions. Each event is notified once, by popup, push notification, e-mail or sound.

Actions on trigger

All positions are closed in the chosen order (losing first, profitable first, FIFO or LIFO) and pending orders are deleted. The EA can stay on the chart or remove itself. Trading stays blocked until the next day or until Reset is pressed on the panel. The blocked state survives a restart and resets by itself on the next trading day.

Safety checks

The EA stays idle until the account size is entered, so it never acts on a wrong figure. Protection pauses if the account size does not match the real balance, with a one-click confirmation when the balance is correct.

Other functions

Filters by magic number and by symbol to supervise only selected strategies. Swap and commission are included in the calculations. A log file records every check and every trigger. Panel position, width and font size are adjustable.

Input parameters

Account: account size, preset selection, daily loss percent, total loss percent, drawdown type (dynamic or static), base (balance or equity), safety buffers.

Objectives: profit target percent, target alert percent, minimum trading days, daily reset time.

Midnight guard: minutes before reset, threshold percent of the daily limit.

Risk alerts: stop loss check, maximum lot, maximum risk per trade, maximum open positions, maximum trades per day, hedging and martingale detection, news filter, trading hours, weekend holding, notification channels.

Actions: close order, delete pending orders, remove EA on trigger.

Filters and panel: magic numbers, symbols, log file, panel position, width and font size.

Notes

This is a protection utility, not a trading system: it does not open trades. Load it on one chart per account. It works on any symbol and any broker, hedging or netting.
