it places single trades and does not employ martingale, grid or any other methods that are mathematically guaranteed to fail
it is only actively trading for 2-3 hours every day: outside of that assets are out of the market and sitting safe with the broker

Usage on live account

Recommend to run on ECN Raw/Zero Spread account.
Attach Chiroptera to a chart e.g. 'EURUSD' or 'EURUSD+' or 'EURUSD-ECN', make sure to choose the correct symbol if your broker uses prefix or suffix (this is typical for Raw / ECN accounts). Timeframe is irrelevant.
Chiroptera will discover any pre- or suffixes automatically. No need to add the prefix or suffix for pairs in the EA parameters
If desiring to receive performance reports in MT5 Mobile app: Place MetaQuotes ID in MT5 Terminal 'Tools'-->'Notifications' section, check 'Enable Push Notifications' and set 'SendNotifications' in the EA to true
Chiroptera uses an advanced, time exponentially weighted filter to learn which are the best pairs (this is broker specific), for which it reads historical trade data. In backtest, this will take 60 days before it converges (it will trade the minimum lotsize up till then). On a live account, it will read pre-learning parameters from an embedded weightsfile. Custom weightsfiles can also be generated, please watch the below video (this is NOT required). Be aware that if creating the custom file on a different computer then where you are running the live account (e.g. on a VPS), the file has to be copied over (it is located in the 'Common' folder). Creation of custom weightsfiles will NOT work on MQL5 VPS as MQL5 VPS does not synchronize the 'Common' folder. Once again using this feature is NOT required.

Usage in Strategy Tester

Run Chiroptera on one symbol only. Timeframe is irrelevant.
Chiroptera EA has the News file embedded as a resource. Embedded News is up-to-date until the release date of the version you are using and updated each time a new version is released.
For the use of 'Baretail' to see detailed performance metrics during backtest in a separate window, please download Baretail from BareMetalSoft and open the 'PrintMonitor' file that is created in your 'Common' folder at the start of your backtest.
Optimal performance in backtest (or on a live account) will start when the adaptive lotsize algorithm has learned the optimal solution for lotsizes. This happens after 60 days. Before that expect generally worse performance in backtest. During these first 60 days of learning the EA will only trade the minimum lotsize (typically 0.01 lots)

This EA is a scam. If you read the negative reviews, it tells you why, so I will not explain (arbitrage). Brokers are blocking and closing accounts. Also, the losses are far higher than the profits. Because of the broker issue and the big losses, the author has limited the risk level which you can use. This is actually a good idea, as you lose your money slower than previously. Bad bad bad.

I’ve been using it for three months since I purchased it. It seems the results vary significantly depending on the broker. With the ECN account I use, my approximate monthly return after commissions is 18%, which differs greatly from the results presented by the author. However, a monthly return of 18% is certainly a more than satisfactory result. Sometimes trades across multiple currency pairs remain open from the weekend into the start of the week. In these cases, no one can predict whether the swap will be positive or negative, or how the market will move based on economic developments over the weekend. Taking all of this into account, I really appreciate that I can leave it completely unattended 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. My portfolio has very few profitable strategies—just a gold breakout strategy and some AUD/CAD averaging—so this EA is incredibly important to me.

I've been using Chiroptera since late April and I genuinely cannot get enough of it - I absolutely adore it. The fact that last month brokers set out to ban/limit Chiroptera honestly tells you everything you need to know about this EA. The author is heavily involved in the community and responds to general queries, questions etc with speed and accuracy and fights for us with the brokers. Yes, Chiro has had a bad couple of weeks in the past, but in the past 4 weeks of trading at least, I honestly don't think I've had a single losing day. I am however frustrated with the authors decision to limit the interal-EA risk (it was on an scale of 1-20 and he released a mandatory update that capped it at 3), the author has said this is because of the brokers and for the overall stability of Chiro on a larger scale, but still incredibly frustrating, but I have not let this fact change my honest 5-star review. Thanks, keep up the good work!

I don't understand the users' reactions. Of course, there are nights and especially weekends when events can change the trend. The EA handles such situations very well. In my case, Chiroptera has performed exceptionally well over the past few weeks and has recouped my investment several times over. I also don't understand the discussions with the brokers. It sounds far-fetched to me that accounts would be banned, suspended, or anything like that because of an EA. Overall, I can only say that Chiroptera is currently my best-performing EA. After testing this EA only for a short time it made me clear that it is just another crap EA with good marketing that should not be in the Top Positions on the market.

! Attention, the Seller deleted some of his Live Signals after the last losses, that only happens when a Seller don´t want to be transparent and show the truth to the clients. For the Sellers the sales must go on as long as possible, before the bad reviews are incoming !

It´s everytime the same game...

The trading logic of this EA is simple. It opens a trade on each Forex pair every day one hour before market close (long or short) and hopes that they are going in the right direction. That´s all.

!!! Another very important Point is that some Brokers e.g. Blueberry don´t like this EA. In the Chiroptera private Telegram Group (I was in there too) there are complaints by users, that their broker has issued them a warning. When they go on using this EA they will get their account closed, because of the trading style of the EA.

Important to know: Many brokers have issues with strategies that exploit pricing errors, delayed data feeds, or short-term spread anomalies. This is often referred to as:

Spread Hunting

Latency Arbitrage

Quote Arbitrage

Tick Arbitrage

Such strategies can violate a broker's terms and conditions, even if the EA itself is technically functioning correctly.

It seems to me that there are many Fake Reviews too because after all the losing days the last week there are still incoming positive reviews from new buyers, what makes no sense.

I stopped using this bad EA and advise every new trader to find a better one.

I called Vantage (as I am a partner with them) and they clarified that they and their subsidiaries (VT,Ultima,Moneta,PuPrime) have found that this EA made too much profit, as they trade against the client. They can take a certain amount of that, but not as much as Chiroptera was offsetting them with. You of all people (supposedly per your ‘experience’) should know how this works. A way forward will be found with other brokers and under different trading conditions for this EA. If you are still adamant about what you are stating above, provide proof that any of this is true: it is not. Chiroptera has gone through this process several times and not once has the broker been able to surrender any proof of anything you are saying. So you are just making things up. I understand you are bitter because of the money you have lost in the past, but this does not give you the right to make things up and damage the results of a phenomenal EA. Stop spamming people. Do not show up on any developers feed until you can provide actual proof of anything you say.

Imm Timm, for a non-martingale, non-grid Expert Advisor losses are absolutely normal. A commission filter was added that allows clients to set the minimum profit compared to commission, which will allow you to prevent stepping in to trades that appear to be making minimal profit compared to the commmission cost. And no need to worry about calculating anything, the EA will do all the math. Yes, there were a few back to back updates but these had to occur as many clients had specific requests and broker dependent settings that needed to be accounted for to use this EA per their broker settings. This is simply a developer accommodating those requests as soon as possible, I understand the reason might not be always be visible to someone that things are working for on their broker. But I hope this explanation helps, contact me directly for any specific questions. This EA is recovering from it's loss as we speak and will reach new highs exactly as it is designed to work.

Leaving a review after using this for more than a month. I would say this is probably my favorite EA so far. Looking back, the journey to become profitable with this was kinda fun. I bought this when it was still imperative to generate your own weightfile, which I didn't want to do since I didn't want to migrate away from using mql5 vps. Good thing is, Rob released the version that has an embedded weightfile already, making backtesting for our own weightfile optional. Jumping off from this topic, I would say the dev is really on top of his game--updates are fast whenever he sees something that can be improved or was suggested by the community.

As for the profits, please be aware that this isn't a grid/martingale where every day/week/month is a winner. This is also repeated again and again by the dev. You will find that some days, you will be in loss. Some you will have profits but only small. And some days, you might be in profit but the commissions ate all of them up. That is normal. You will be rewarded with days where you'll get 0.5%. And you have a potentially larger chance for profit on Fridays (favorite day btw) where your acct growth can shoot way up. Another thing I would like to point out is how splashable this is in your portfolio. It doesn't really compete with all your other EAs since it only trades in a very specific time interval, so it's a perfect addition to your bot collection.

I've been rambling a bit but overall, this is a pretty good EA!

What really impresses me is how carefully it handles risk — the stop loss and take profit levels feel well thought out, not just randomly placed and left to chance.
