VoidFlow IFVG Trade Assistant Pro is a manual-first MetaTrader 5 trading panel for Inverse Fair Value Gap (IFVG) setups. It finds fair value gaps, confirms when price closes through them, scores every setup from 0 to 100, draws a complete trade plan and lets you place the order with one click and one confirmation. Automatic entries are available as an option you switch on yourself.
Video walk-through: see the video on this page. Free demo: download it and run it in the Strategy Tester (the demo trades automatically there so you can see the full workflow).
How a setup is found
- FVG detection on the signal timeframe you choose (M1 to D1), independent of the chart timeframe.
- Inversion rule: a bullish gap becomes a sell IFVG when a candle closes below the whole gap (and the reverse for buys) - wicks do not count.
- Quality filters: gap size, displacement candle body and range (relative to ATR), clean break beyond the gap and minimum inversion candle body. Presets Off / Loose / Balanced / Strict / Custom.
- IFVG Quality Score 0-100 for every setup: gap size, displacement, inversion strength, higher-timeframe structure, a liquidity sweep before the gap, support/resistance confluence and confluence with a higher-timeframe IFVG. Use it as information or as a minimum-score filter.
- Higher-timeframe structure filter: buys only when the higher timeframe makes higher highs and higher lows, sells only in a bearish structure. Auto timeframe or any timeframe you pick on the panel.
- Context filter: a strong local trend to the left of the setup, or price sitting on support/resistance.
- Session filter: New York, London and Asia buttons on the panel; only setups that form in the selected sessions are shown, alerted and traded.
- Optional playbook rules: require a liquidity sweep, higher-timeframe bias by range midpoint or last swing.
- Setups are confirmed on closed candles only and are never repainted.
Trade plan on the chart
- Entry at the broken IFVG boundary (or midpoint / confirmation close), stop-loss beyond the gap with four stop models (IFVG edge, ATR buffer, sweep/swing, inversion wick) and a minimum stop distance.
- TP1 and TP2 from fixed R:R, the next liquidity swing or a hybrid model. Labels show prices and R multiples.
- Drag to edit: drag Entry, SL, TP1 or TP2 on the chart; the panel, risk and orders use the edited plan.
- Risk/reward boxes for the live plan, IFVG zones with 50% lines, optional raw FVG zones, invalidated setups in grey, and history plans for the visible part of the chart.
- Higher-timeframe IFVG zones: active IFVGs of a higher timeframe drawn as labelled outlines.
- Sessions and kill zones: session boxes for New York, London, Tokyo and Sydney (UTC, New York time with daylight saving, or broker time), session high/low liquidity lines that are marked when swept, and daily dividers.
- Volume support/resistance zones: swing pivots confirmed by above-average volume, with retest counts and role flip after a break.
The panel
- Trade tab: latest setup with quality badge and confluence chips, Entry/SL/TP1/TP2 with distance and R, risk and reward in money and % of equity, size in lots or risk %, pending-at-entry or market order, broker take-profit at TP1 or TP2, and one PLACE button with a confirmation step.
- Open position view: side, volume, floating P/L, management stage and one-click CLOSE, STOP TO ENTRY or CANCEL PENDING (each with confirmation).
- Filters tab: higher-timeframe structure (on/off and timeframe), context filter, session buttons with live session clock, minimum quality score, HTF zones, automatic trading switch and today's trade count and P/L.
- Stats tab: every actionable setup in the scanned history is replayed with your current plan and management settings - win rate, profit factor and average result in R, TP1/TP2/stop counts, net R, maximum drawdown in R and the last ten outcomes. Tune filters before you risk money.
- Scan tab: watchlist scanner (Market Watch or your own list) with the latest IFVG direction, age, quality score, distance to entry and higher-timeframe trend of each symbol. Click a row to open its chart. Broker suffixes such as ".a" are resolved automatically.
- Light, dark or automatic theme, sharp on high-DPI screens, drag the header to move the panel, minimise it to one line. Settings are remembered per symbol.
Orders and position management
- Lot sizing by fixed lots or by risk % of equity; risk-based lots are rounded down so the real risk never exceeds your setting.
- Broker checks before every order: free margin, volume limits and steps, stops and freeze levels, filling mode and expiry support.
- Pending orders can expire after N bars and are cancelled automatically when their setup is invalidated before the fill.
- At TP1: close a part of the position and move the stop to entry. Optional trailing stop after TP1 (ATR distance or last swing).
- Management state survives terminal restarts.
Automatic trading (optional)
- Off by default. Enable it in the inputs and arm it on the panel (with a confirmation).
- Same filters, plan and management as manual trades; one position or pending order per symbol.
- Risk guard: maximum new trades per day and a daily loss limit in % of balance; optionally also for manual trades. Skips trades whose minimum lot would risk far more than your risk %.
Alerts
- Separate switches for new setup, entry retest, setup invalidated and trade events (fills, TP1, stop/target exits).
- Popup, sound, push notification, e-mail and Experts log, with an alert time window.
Backtest results
Strategy Tester, every tick based on real ticks, 10 000 USD, 1% risk per trade, automatic mode, default filters, US500 M15 with signal timeframe M15 (New York session, TP1 scale-out 50% with breakeven). The setup was chosen on 2023-2024 data and then checked on later data that was not used for the choice:
- 2023-01 to 2025-10: profit factor 1.57, 128 trades, maximum equity drawdown 7.6%.
- 2026-01 to 2026-10 (out of sample): profit factor 1.72, 27 trades, maximum equity drawdown 5.8%.
Other markets and low timeframes were not profitable in every period with the default plan (for example GBPUSD H1 was profitable in 2023-2025 but not in 2026). Use the Stats tab to check your symbol and timeframe before trading it. These are backtest results; they describe the past and do not guarantee future results.
Quick start
- Attach the EA to any chart and allow Algo Trading if you want to place orders.
- Choose the signal timeframe (default M5) and keep the default filters to start.
- Pick your sessions on the Filters tab and check the Stats tab for the historical behaviour of the setups on your symbol.
- When a setup appears, review the plan, set lots or risk % and press PLACE, then confirm.
Notes
- Works on forex, metals, indices and crypto, on hedging and netting accounts.
- Results depend on the broker, spread, commission and slippage. Statistics and backtests describe the past and do not guarantee future results. Test on a demo account first.
