The Problem

Running multiple EAs on the same account creates risk. Two gold EAs can open opposite positions near the same price. Three EAs can stack correlated trades. One bad minute can trigger every SL at once.

You planned for 2% risk per trade. Instead you're running 6% because three EAs all fired at once on XAUUSD, and it's worse with grids. Manual monitoring doesn't scale: you can't watch every chart 24 hours a day.

The Solution

Anchor monitors all your registered EAs in real time. When one EA opens a position, Anchor pauses every other managed EA until that trade closes. No conflicts. No stacking. No surprises.

A paused EA stays on its chart with all its indicators and settings intact. It simply cannot open new trades. Nothing disappears, nothing resets, your charts never change. Each paused chart shows a small card with the reason and a live countdown to resume.

EAs with open trades can finish managing them before pausing, so nothing is ever left mid-trade without its EA.

Your EAs don't need modification. They don't need to know Anchor exists. Works with any EA, from any vendor, on any symbol.

Coordination

Set how many EAs can trade at once with the Max Active EAs setting. The default is 1 for strict one-at-a-time. Set it higher to allow multiple EAs to hold positions simultaneously while still capping total exposure.

Simple setup: one chart, one line of input. No companion indicator, no EA modification required. Pause or resume any EA directly from the on-chart status panel.

Running a grid or dozens of magic numbers? Use a wildcard: GridEA:23**** covers 230000 to 239999 in just one token.

Protection

Three layers of drawdown protection, stackable in any combination. Per-EA limits watch each EA's own floating loss and pause only the offender. Account-wide limits watch total floating loss across the account. Daily loss limits count realized and floating losses together, exactly how prop firms calculate a daily breach, and reset automatically each trading day.

Per-EA limits can be customized directly in the mapping string, giving each EA its own threshold without running separate Anchor instances. Choose between close and pause or pause only, which leaves positions open for you to manage manually.

Push notifications deliver drawdown trips, pauses, and force-closes to the MT5 mobile app.

News Filter

Built-in economic news filtering. Anchor pauses managed EAs before high-impact events and keeps them paused until the volatility window passes. Configurable timing, currency filters, and impact level selection. Optionally pause only EAs exposed to the affected currency while the rest keep trading.

Scheduler

Automated trading windows in broker time. Set a close time and resume time, choose your close mode, and Anchor handles the rest. Cross-day windows cover the full weekend in a single entry. An optional force close time adds a hard deadline after the initial pause for anything still open.

Requirements

MetaTrader 5. One chart per Anchor instance, any symbol, any timeframe. WebRequest permission for the news filter (optional). Before first use, open Tools > Options > Expert Advisors and uncheck the "Disable Algorithmic Trading when..." options.

Not compatible with the built-in MQL5 VPS. Requires a full MT5 installation (local or Windows VPS).
