How It Works: The 1-2-3 Breakout Logic

This indicator utilizes a sophisticated built-in State Machine to track the exact structure of the MACD Histogram. It waits for a complete 3-step cycle before issuing a signal.

🔵 BUY Signal (Bullish Breakout):

1. The Build (Step 1): The MACD Histogram rises above the Zero Line, establishing a new bullish peak ( High_Peak_1 ).

2. The Pullback (Step 2): The market retraces, and the MACD Histogram drops below the Zero Line, indicating a temporary resting phase.

3. The Breakout (Step 3): Bullish volume returns. The MACD Histogram crosses back above the Zero Line and breaks higher than the previous peak ( High_Peak_1 ). A BUY arrow is printed on the exact closed bar of the breakout.

🔴 SELL Signal (Bearish Breakout):

1. The Build (Step 1): The MACD Histogram drops below the Zero Line, establishing a bearish trough ( Low_Trough_1 ).

2. The Pullback (Step 2): The market retraces, pushing the histogram above the Zero Line.

3. The Breakout (Step 3): Bearish volume returns, crossing below the Zero Line and breaking lower than the previous trough. A SELL arrow is printed immediately.

Input Parameters / Settings

⚙️ MACD Parameters

• Fast EMA Period (Default: 12): The period for the fast Exponential Moving Average.

• Slow EMA Period (Default: 26): The period for the slow Exponential Moving Average.

• Signal SMA Period (Default: 9): The period for the Signal Line (Simple Moving Average).

• Applied Price (Default: Close Price): The price type used for the MACD calculation (Close, Open, High, Low, etc.).

🎨 Main Chart Arrow Settings

• Buy Arrow Color: Choose the color for your Bullish breakout signals (Default: DodgerBlue).

• Sell Arrow Color: Choose the color for your Bearish breakout signals (Default: OrangeRed).

• Arrow Width: Adjust the size/thickness of the signal arrows on the main chart.

• Pip Offset: The distance (in pips) between the price candlestick and the signal arrow, ensuring your chart stays clean and arrows do not overlap the price bars.

Trading Recommendations

• Timeframes: Works on all timeframes, but M15, H1, and H4 are highly recommended for filtering out market noise.
