Vadim Dengin (LDPR) on raising the salaries of State Duma deputies: "A deputy is as hard a job as if you were unloading railcars with full dedication".

Russia may ban dollars

LDPR deputy and former Moscow mayoral candidate Mikhail Degtyarev has proposed a ban on the circulation and storage of dollars in Russia. The politician's proposed Federal Law on Circulation and Storage of Dollars suggests that within one year of the law coming into force, it would be possible to sell dollars. Then the cash would begin to be seized by authorised bodies (police, border guards, customs officers, tax officials and migration officials). Dollar accounts will be closed. Within 30 days, the money will be returned in the rouble equivalent. The document published on the Duma website does not specify how the money will be seized.

The Liberal Democratic Party of Russia has become more active lately.)
