What version of Wine is it? It works just as well when rolling back to 10.2.

Asked about luxWine and I can choose any wine there. I will definitely switch to this version later, it is much better than my current one (wine + winegui).

Asked about luxWine and I will say that you can choose any wine there. I will definitely switch to this option later, much better than my current one (wine + winegui).

Had a look - some obscure thing for almost 2 gigabytes.

There is also a PlayOnLinux option - also with the option to choose wine version, I think.

These variants of WINE mainly improve 3D gaming graphics, with a strong Steam focus. DirectX 12 and VULCAN. For 2D there are minuscule improvements. But in different versions could not break what worked before.

The beta version of MT5 installed and ran in Lux Wine with a totally creepy dark theme.

But the funny thing is that it detected wine version 9.0, which is called outdated and unstable and that I need version 10.0 or later. It would be funny if....

Can anyone tell if the MetaTrader5 Python library can communicate with MT5 running on Linux under wine? Can anyone who has managed to do so shed some light?

I found this guide on the English forum: https: //www.mql5.com/en/forum/457940. I suggest you read the whole thread before starting, as some corrections were added later.

What the hell happened for the 5100 build on Linux/wine? It doesn't maximise without a massive failed black screen.

Can you downgrade?

wget https://download.mql5.com/cdn/web/metaquotes.software.corp/mt5/mt5debian.sh ; chmod +x mt5debian.sh ; ./mt5debian.sh
