MetaTrader 5 custom indicator | Product version 1.00 | Publisher: MSMO FX | Product family: MSMO Trade Suite
This FAQ covers product use and technical limitations. For full configuration steps and all Inputs, see the Complete User Guide.
1. Is this an Expert Advisor?
No. MSMO Risk Pro is an MT5 custom indicator for visual planning and position-size calculations. It never places or manages trades.
2. Are its SL and TP lines real broker orders?
No. They are visual references. You must enter the actual Stop Loss and Take Profit levels in MT5 yourself.
3. Does it choose whether to buy or sell?
No. You select the plan direction. It does not generate trading signals.
4. How does the lot calculation work?
It uses your selected sizing mode, the Entry-to-SL distance and the symbol's trading specifications. It then applies the broker's volume constraints and displays the estimated actual risk.
5. Can actual risk exceed my target?
Yes. If the raw volume is below the broker minimum, it may be raised to that minimum. The Nearest Broker Step rounding option can also produce a slightly higher actual risk. Always check Actual Risk and any notices.
6. Can I specify a fixed money amount?
Yes. Fixed Money Risk uses an amount in the trading account currency. Risk by Percent (percentage risk) and Fixed Lot Size are also available.
7. What are the six SL methods?
Manual SL Line, Fixed Distance from Entry, ATR Reference, Structure Reference, Moving Average Reference and Parabolic SAR Reference. Structure Reference uses price structure: fractal swings, recent N-bar highs/lows and the previous candle.
8. Can I move TP1 and TP2?
In manual TP mode, yes. You can drag the target lines freely. In R-multiple mode, targets are calculated from Entry and SL, so a dragged target line returns to its calculated level. To change R-multiple targets, move Entry or SL, or change the R-multiple inputs.
9. How long are saved scenarios kept?
They are stored in MetaTrader terminal global variables and can survive removal of the indicator. MT5 automatically deletes terminal global variables that have not been accessed for four weeks, so do not treat saved scenarios as permanent backups.
10. Can I display more than one plan?
Yes. Use a different Plan ID for each instance on the same symbol and timeframe. If two instances share a Plan ID, the second one runs in a read-only state and shows a duplicate warning.
11. What if my account currency changes?
If a saved scenario depends on a fixed money amount or a custom account base and the account currency changes, the scenario is held and not applied automatically.
12. Does it calculate commission and margin automatically?
Spread impact is estimated, and you can enter round-turn commission manually. Margin is a manual estimate based on the margin per lot you enter and is displayed when enabled. It is not an automatic broker margin calculation. Swap, slippage and other costs you have not entered are excluded.
13. Does it read open positions and pending orders?
Only when the broker sets a non-zero aggregate symbol volume limit. In that case, the indicator reads the volumes of open positions and pending orders on the same symbol and in the same direction as the visual plan to estimate remaining volume capacity. It does not place, modify, close or manage those trades.
14. Do touch alerts mean my trade was closed?
No. Touch alerts refer to visual planning levels only. They say nothing about order execution or actual profit and loss.
15. Does it work with all brokers and symbols?
Its calculations rely on valid specifications and market data from the broker. Check the results on each symbol you use. Compatibility with every symbol is not guaranteed.
16. Can I interact with the free Market demo?
Partly. The MQL5 Market demo runs in Strategy Tester visual mode. In that mode, MT5 does not deliver the chart events Risk Pro uses for dragging planning lines and clicking panel buttons. Before starting the test, you can change inputs such as risk mode, Stop Loss method and TP mode to see how the calculations and chart display respond.
17. Does Risk Pro guarantee lower losses or better trading results?
No. It helps with calculation and visual review. It does not prevent losses or guarantee results.
