The Core LAP Rule: Rising Price Before SELL, Falling Price Before BUY

VISTmany | iVISTscalp5 | Time Language VISTmany

LAP is a time for analysis, not an automatic entry command

The iVISTscalp5 indicator for MetaTrader 5 forecasts LAPs (Liquidity Activation Points) one week ahead and displays them on the chart. Each timing includes the forecast time, expected direction (BUY or SELL), and expected movement in points.

In addition to timings, the indicator displays key price levels and zones that help traders assess market conditions across different timeframes:

• daily, weekly, and monthly price channels;
• trading activity levels;
• the level-balance zone;
• the daily high and low;
• the standard deviation of price.

Together, these features help traders analyse not only when a market movement may be activated, but also where the price is positioned relative to key levels and ranges. This makes it possible to examine the market context and prepare for forecast timings in advance.

The core rule for working with LAP

Before a SELL timing, the market should be rising. Before a BUY timing, the market should be falling.

This is a core practical rule for LAP analysis within the VISTmany methodology. Before making a decision, assess the price movement that has already occurred before the forecast time.

• Before SELL, check whether the price has actually been rising.
• Before BUY, check whether the price has actually been falling.

If a substantial part of the expected movement has already occurred before the timing, do not enter automatically just because the forecast time has arrived. The price may have covered part of the expected distance in advance, increasing the risk of a late entry and an adverse pullback.

Use price levels in the context of LAP

The daily, weekly, and monthly channels, trading activity levels, level-balance zone, daily high and low, and standard deviation of price complement the analysis of LAP timings.

They help assess the price position relative to different ranges and levels, the scale of the movement that has already occurred, and the current market situation.

The daily high and low show how far the price has moved within the day. Weekly and monthly channels provide a broader perspective, while the other levels and indicators help complete the market picture.

These features should not be treated as independent or guaranteed BUY or SELL signals. Their purpose is to support price analysis alongside LAP timings.

Practical checklist

1. Find the next LAP on the iVISTscalp5 chart.
2. Check the timing direction — BUY or SELL.
3. Assess the preceding price movement: rising before SELL, falling before BUY.
4. Review the daily high and low, price channels, and the indicator’s other levels.
5. Assess nearby timings and the broader market context.
6. Check whether the situation fits your trading strategy and acceptable risk level.

The key VISTmany principle: a LAP provides a time-based reference point, while price levels and indicators help assess the market’s position. Entry decisions should consider preceding price movement, the broader market picture, and risk management. A LAP should not be treated as an unconditional instruction to open a trade.
