One gold chart. Fully automated trade management. Published backtests starting from $500.

If you trade gold on MetaTrader 5, you want to know three things about an Expert Advisor: what it handles for you, what its results actually show, and how to get started. Here is a practical look at Gold Beast MT5, with the original reports so you can examine the evidence yourself.

The published $1,000 Balanced backtest reports $19,503.33 in total net profit across 2,497 trades, with 16.31% relative equity drawdown. The report artwork labels the period January 2018 to August 2026. These are historical simulations, not live trading results or a forecast.

1. What Gold Beast MT5 automates

Gold Beast MT5 runs on one XAUUSD / GOLD H1 chart. The EA manages BUY and SELL entries, recovery positions, lot sizing, basket profit targets, protection checks and exits. Normal trades do not require manual management.

You have a ready starting configuration. The listing recommends Gold Beast MT5 - Balanced Moderate.set. Load it and test it before changing individual inputs. Smart Auto Lot calculates position size from the account and selected risk settings.

Keep MT5 connected, Algo Trading enabled and EA trading permission active. A VPS can help keep the terminal available. Full automation handles the trading workflow; your chosen risk level and trading conditions still matter.

2. The backtest results at a glance

These five published reports use $500 or $1,000 starting deposits. All report artwork labels the test period January 2018 to August 2026. Dollar figures below mean total net profit, not ending account balance.

Profile / starting deposit Total net profit Relative equity drawdown
Balanced
$500
$10,809.91 18.07%
Aggressive
$500
$20,598.43 23.30%
Balanced
$1,000
$19,503.33 16.31%
Aggressive
$1,000
$51,823.96 23.89%
Extremely Aggressive
$1,000
$144,883.52 33.09%

Read the drawdown correctly. The smaller drawdown percentages in the image headlines refer to balance drawdown. This article uses the report tables' relative equity drawdown, which accounts for floating profit and loss on open positions. That distinction matters when comparing risk.

The highest net profit among these five reports is $144,883.52 from the $1,000 Extremely Aggressive test. It also has the highest relative equity drawdown in this selection: 33.09%. Read those figures together when deciding which settings to investigate.

3. Three profiles with a $1,000 starting deposit

Balanced: the first report to examine

Net profit: $19,503.33 | Relative equity drawdown: 16.31%
Trades: 2,497 | Profit factor: 3.84

This report has the lowest relative equity drawdown of the three $1,000 profiles shown here. Use it as a reference when comparing the higher-risk examples. Examine how the equity curve behaves between its peaks, as well as where it finishes.

Aggressive: higher reported profit, deeper equity drawdown

Net profit: $51,823.96 | Relative equity drawdown: 23.89%
Trades: 2,081 | Profit factor: 3.87

The Aggressive report shows a higher net profit than Balanced, alongside a deeper equity drawdown. This is a useful comparison for a trader evaluating how much additional fluctuation they could tolerate. A larger final profit figure alone is not enough to choose a profile.

Extremely Aggressive: the highest-profit example in this selection

Net profit: $144,883.52 | Relative equity drawdown: 33.09%
Trades: 1,802 | Profit factor: 3.96

This is the strongest net profit figure among the five reports featured here, paired with the deepest relative equity drawdown. It is a higher-risk historical example, not an expected outcome for a new $1,000 account. Future drawdowns can exceed those shown in a backtest.

4. What the $500 backtests show

A smaller starting deposit deserves its own evidence. The listing includes these two $500 tests, allowing readers to compare their results directly with the $1,000 examples.

$500 Balanced

Net profit: $10,809.91 | Relative equity drawdown: 18.07%
Trades: 2,478 | Profit factor: 3.84

The $500 Balanced test reports positive net profit over the labeled period, with a higher relative equity drawdown than the $1,000 Balanced example. This gives a smaller-account reader a specific report to inspect instead of extrapolating from a larger deposit.

$500 Aggressive

Net profit: $20,598.43 | Relative equity drawdown: 23.30%
Trades: 2,130 | Profit factor: 3.83

Within the two $500 reports, Aggressive shows higher net profit and higher relative equity drawdown. Compare both sides of that trade-off before changing risk settings. A smaller deposit does not make a higher-risk profile easier to sustain.

5. Your practical starting steps

The current listing specifies $500 minimum deposit, $1,000 recommended deposit and minimum leverage of 1:100. These are product setup requirements, not assurances that either account size is safe.

  1. Test before purchasing. Get the marketplace demo from the product page and evaluate it in the MT5 Strategy Tester. The demo is for tester use.
  2. Load the recommended SET file. Start with Gold Beast MT5 - Balanced Moderate.set on XAUUSD H1.
  3. Use your broker's historical data. Review several years and compare net profit, equity drawdown, trade count and the equity curve. Keep the original result as your baseline before changing one major setting at a time.
  4. Keep a record of the test conditions. Save the SET file, symbol, date range, modeling mode, spread assumptions and report. This makes later comparisons meaningful.
  5. Prepare the terminal before running the purchased EA. Confirm connectivity and trading permissions, then check that the intended settings are loaded.

The screenshot profile names do not establish which exact SET file produced each report. Use your own saved tester results to evaluate the current recommended configuration on your broker's data.

Want to include the built-in news filter in a backtest? The listing describes an optional news CSV workflow and a free helper EA that generates the file. Message the author on MQL5 for the helper and setup support.

6. See whether Gold Beast MT5 fits your trading

Gold Beast MT5 is worth exploring if you want a dedicated MT5 gold EA, automated trade management and a ready SET file to begin testing. The reports give you concrete comparisons across two starting balances and several risk profiles.

Your next step is straightforward: inspect the original reports, run your own test and review the current product offer. When the setup and risk fit your requirements, you can purchase directly through MQL5.
