Why I Don't Use Martingale

Many trading robots show impressive backtest results and extremely high win rates. In many cases, these results are achieved by increasing position size after losing trades using a Martingale approach.

The problem is simple: sooner or later, every strategy encounters a losing streak. When that happens, risk can grow far beyond what most traders expect.

When developing Gold Storm PRO, I made a deliberate decision to avoid Martingale, averaging, and any hidden recovery mechanisms.

Every trade is opened with predefined Stop Loss and Take Profit levels. This means the maximum risk is known before the position is even opened.

My goal was not to build a system that looks impressive in a backtest. The goal was to create a strategy with transparent risk management and real trading statistics that anyone can verify.

What is your opinion on Martingale-based systems? Do you consider them a valid trading approach or an unnecessary risk?
