Installing ICT Market Structure Pro (Demo) in MetaTrader 5

A short guide for end users: install the pre-built indicator file, attach it to a chart, and know how the Demo build differs from the full product.

Before you start

The Demo is intended for demo accounts only. It will not load on a live (real) account. The Demo run is time-limited to 30 days from the first successful run on this MetaTrader terminal for your account login. For live trading without Demo restrictions, buy the full product on MQL5 Market (see below).

What you download

You receive a single ready-to-run file:

ICT_Market_Structure_Pro_Demo.ex5 — the compiled indicator. You do not need MetaEditor or any source code.

Installation steps

Open the terminal data folder. In MT5: File → Open Data Folder. Explorer or Finder opens at your terminal’s data root.
Copy the indicator file into Indicators. Open MQL5/Indicators/ and copy ICT_Market_Structure_Pro_Demo.ex5 into that folder. You may place it directly in Indicators or inside a subfolder under Indicators—both work.
Refresh the Navigator. In MT5, right-click Indicators in the Navigator and choose Refresh if the indicator does not appear automatically. You should see ICT_Market_Structure_Pro_Demo.
Attach to a chart. Drag the Demo indicator from the Navigator onto any chart, or right-click → Attach to a chart. Review Inputs, then click OK.

Tip: After a successful attach, the movable Bias panel shows a prominent red Demo label at the top of the panel header—easy to tell apart from the full product. Hover the label to see remaining trial days and the purchase link.

Troubleshooting

Indicator missing in Navigator: Confirm ICT_Market_Structure_Pro_Demo.ex5 is under MQL5/Indicators/ (or a subfolder); right-click Indicators → Refresh; restart the terminal if needed.
Indicator fails to load / “Demo Restricted” message: Confirm you are logged into a demo account, not a live (real) account. The Demo build refuses real accounts by design.
“Demo Expired” message: The 30-day Demo window for this account on this terminal has ended. Purchase the full version at https://www.mql5.com/en/market/product/168945 .
Nothing appears on the chart: Check that chart objects are enabled (Charts → Properties → Common → Show object descriptions and ensure objects are not hidden). Try a different symbol or timeframe, or remove and re-attach the indicator.
Multi-timeframe mode looks incomplete: Allow a few seconds after attach for the higher-timeframe bridge to load. Switch to Multi in the bottom toolbar and select a valid HTF from the HTF selector.
