Details from the June 2016 Spanish Markit services PMI data report 5 July 2016

  • Prior 55.4
  • New orders 55.7 vs 54.3 prior
  • Composite 55.7 vs 54.6 prior
  • New orders 54.5 vs 53.5 prior

A good start for European services.

Also of note is employment rose at the fastest rate for 9 years.

Funnily enough, Spain's economy minister Luis De Guindos was out moments before the release saying that Spanish growth estimates are likely to be revised upwards and that most recent data shows that the economy is growing above 3%. I wonder if he's taken profit in the EURUSD spike to 1.1146 ;-)
