On Tuesday German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble said he did not think member states of the European Union should contribute to the EU's planned 315
billion euro investment fund.
"We are not
in favour of national government contributions to the fund," Schaeuble
told a public debate on the investment fund at the Ecofin council of EU
finance ministers. At the same time, he said that Germany could indirectly contribute through state-owned development bank KfW, Reuters reports.
