Bands Signal Trader is MT5 Expert Advisor built around Basic and Dark band mode.
It was created to keep automated trading straightforward, with clear entry rules, selectable SL/TP levels and simple position sizing. It trades one position at a time with server-side stop loss and take profit.
Option1 : Basic mode
Basic is the default mode and works without the external indicator. It uses EMA 20/50 crossovers and ATR(14). Choose SL1, SL2 or SL3 and TP1, TP2 or TP3 independently: Level 1 = 1 ATR, Level 2 = 2 ATR, Level 3 = 3 ATR. The default is SL2 + TP3.
Inputs
General inputs (used by both modes)
Signal mode: Select Basic or Dark Bands. Default: Basic.
Fixed trade lots: Lots per trade in Fixed lots mode (default: 0.01). Match the symbol's minimum volume and lot step.
Magic number: Identifier for the EA's trades. Default: 7311001.
Max spread (points, 0 = off): Maximum spread allowed for entry, in broker points. 0 disables the limit.
Price deviation (points): Permitted order price deviation in broker points. Default: 20.
Basic - ATR SL / TP
Basic stop-loss level (1 / 2 / 3 ATR): Stop-loss distance. Level 1 / 2 / 3 = 1 / 2 / 3 times ATR(14). Default: Level 2.
Basic take-profit level (1 / 2 / 3 ATR): Take-profit distance. Level 1 / 2 / 3 = 1 / 2 / 3 times ATR(14). Default: Level 3.
Position sizing (both modes)
Lot sizing mode: Fixed lots uses Fixed trade lots. Risk per trade calculates lots from the selected SL.
Risk per trade (% of balance): Target estimated SL price loss as a percentage of the current account balance. Used in Risk per trade mode. Default: 0.5.
Risk lots use permitted volume steps and the symbol maximum. An entry is skipped if the minimum lot exceeds the target. The estimate excludes commission and swap; execution price changes and gaps can change actual loss.
Basic uses the General, Basic and Position sizing inputs. Check the symbol's permitted lot size before enabling trading.
Option2 : Dark Bands mode
Download and install the original Dark Bands MT5 indicator:Dark Bands MT5 — download from MQL5 Market
In Dark Bands mode, enter the same settings you use in the indicator, and the EA will automatically trade its confirmed signals.
The EA follows confirmed closed-bar signals and the selected SL and TP levels. The original indicator is installed separately and is not included.
The Dark Bands settings in this EA are the same as those in the original Dark Bands indicator, so enter the same values in both.
