=== WHY AURUMLENS ===
Most EAs trade one market with one idea. When that market goes quiet, they lose or stop. AurumLens trades two markets that move for different reasons, at different times, with different logic:
- Gold during the European and US sessions: many short trades on sharp overshoots.
- The S&P 500 at the New York open: one clear decision per day.
When one is quiet, the other can work. Both are managed by the same risk manager, so the account always has one set of rules, one daily limit and one panel.
=== STRATEGY 1: GOLD RSI SCALPER (XAUUSD M1) ===
- BUY when RSI(21) on M1 closes below the oversold level and then closes back above it: the panic is over, the bounce starts.
- SELL when RSI(21) closes above 72 and then back below it, only if the trend allows it (EMA 50 on H1): AurumLens does not sell into a strong rally.
- Signals on closed candles only. No repainting, no guessing.
- Volatility filter: trades only when gold is really moving (ATR H1 of at least 8 USD). In quiet markets it waits.
- Time filter: no new trades at 08 and 15 server time (European open, US data) and on Fridays.
- Stop loss and take profit sent with every order, sized on volatility (ATR). Trades with a stop loss too wide are skipped.
- Maximum 2 losing gold trades per day, then it stops until tomorrow.
- News filter: no new gold trades from 15 minutes before to 3 minutes after high-impact USD news.
- One gold position at a time. Maximum spread filter.
=== STRATEGY 2: S&P 500 OPENING RANGE (US500) ===
- Measures the high and low of the first 15 minutes after the New York open. Summer and winter time are handled automatically, for the US and for your broker.
- Trades the breakout of that range in the next 2 hours, only in the direction of the H1 trend (EMA 30).
- Stop loss in the middle of the range, take profit at 2.5 times the risk.
- Risk fixed in % of the balance (for example 0.5% per trade): the lot size is calculated for you.
- Skips days with a range too small (no real move) or too large (too risky), and days with a spread too high.
- Every index trade is closed the same day: no overnight and no weekend risk on the index.
=== BUILT FOR PROP FIRMS ===
- Daily loss limit in %: when reached, AurumLens closes everything and waits for the next day. The day starts at the server's midnight, like at most prop firms, and the base is the higher of balance and equity, so our limit triggers before the firm's one.
- Equity floor: if the equity goes below a level you choose, AurumLens closes all and stops for good, protecting the maximum loss of the challenge.
- Weekend protection: gold positions closed before the Friday close.
- Connection guard: if the terminal loses the connection and reports wrong values, AurumLens does nothing until the data are real again.
- No martingale, no grid, no averaging down, no hedging, no lot multiplication after a loss. Every trade has a stop loss.
=== SET UP IN 2 MINUTES ===
1. Attach AurumLens to one chart (XAUUSD M1 recommended). It finds the gold and S&P 500 symbols of your broker by itself: XAUUSD, GOLD, US500, SP500, SPX500, US500.cash and similar, also with suffixes.
2. Choose the account type: Personal, Prop firm (challenge) or Custom.
3. Choose the risk level: Low, Medium or High.
That's it. Lots, daily limit, equity floor and news filter are set automatically. Advanced users can change every parameter in the Custom profile.

Backtest (simulation, not real trading) on the data of a prop-firm broker (The5ers), January 2024 to October 2026, start 2,500 USD, with the settings we use on our own prop accounts (gold 0.08 lots per 10,000, S&P 500 risk 0.5% per trade, daily limit 3%, news filter on gold):
- Net profit: +2,597 USD (+103.9%)
- Maximum drawdown: 6.0%
- Trades: 733
- Every year positive: 2024 +16.9% | 2025 +37.3% | 2026 (January to October) +27.0%
The two strategies were tested one by one and together: the combined EA gives exactly the same trades as each strategy alone.

=== FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ===
Which broker do I need?
Any MetaTrader 5 broker with gold and S&P 500 CFDs. A low-spread account (raw/ECN) is recommended: gold scalping is sensitive to costs.
Does it work with my prop firm?
AurumLens follows the usual rules: daily loss, maximum loss, no martingale, no grid, stop loss on every trade. Check the rules of your firm about Expert Advisors; most allow them. With only 20 licenses worldwide, the risk of "same trades on many accounts" is minimal.
What is the minimum balance?
We recommend at least 2,500 USD (or a 2,500 prop account). With smaller balances the minimum gold lot (0.01) becomes relatively large.
My broker has no S&P 500, or I only want gold?
Each strategy can be switched on or off. AurumLens also works with only one of them.
Do I need a VPS?
Yes, recommended: the EA must run continuously, especially at the New York open.
Can I test it before buying?
Yes. Download the free demo and run it in the Strategy Tester on XAUUSD M1. The tester runs both strategies together, as in live trading.
Can I change the settings?
Yes. Every parameter is in the Custom profile. The defaults are the tested values: if you change them, test them first.
Which time zone does it use?
It detects the server time of your broker and the US daylight saving time by itself.
What happens after the 20 licenses are sold?
Buyers keep the EA, the activations and all future updates. Only new sales stop.
