INDEX SWIFT
================================================================
Index Swift trades the three big stock indices — the S&P 500, the Nasdaq 100 and the DAX 40 — with four independent
modules: two multi-day trend strategies and two intraday strategies. It is built for
steadiness: every year from 2019 to 2025 made between +19% and +35%, with drawdowns under 7%.
Every module is a complete strategy with its own entry, stop-loss, target and exit rules. Each one was tested on its own
first, then together as a portfolio.
▶ WHAT IT TRADES
S&P 500 (US500) — 1 module
• Orion — multi-day trend strategy with a trend filter.
NASDAQ 100 (NAS100) — 2 modules
• Lyra — multi-day trend strategy with a trend filter.
• Electra — intraday strategy active during the US session; flat by the end of the day.
DAX 40 (GER40) — 1 module
• Polaris — intraday strategy active in the European morning.
▶ BACKTEST RESULTS
Pepperstone, "Every tick based on real ticks", spread and commission included, 0.5% risk per trade, each year
started from $10,000:
Year Result
2018 +15.7% (Nasdaq modules only — no S&P / DAX data that year)
2019 +18.7%
2020 +22.1%
2021 +22.1%
2022 +35.4%
2023 +33.9%
2024 +22.7%
2025 +22.8%
• Profit factor 1.35
• About 590 trades per year (2 – 3 per trading day)
• Win rate 61%
• Average loss about 1.2 – 1.3x the average win — no "many small wins, one huge loss" profile
• Worst drawdown 6.6% in any single year; 6.5% over a continuous 7-year run (2019–2025, one account)
• 84% of months profitable
• Every year from 2018 to 2025 profitable
▶ RISK MANAGEMENT
• A hard stop-loss is sent with every single trade.
• No grid, no martingale, no averaging down, no hedging tricks.
• One position per module and direction. Each module risks a fixed % of balance (default 0.5%) or a fixed lot size.
• Free-margin check before every order; lot sizes are fitted to your broker's minimum, maximum and step.
• Trades only when the market is open and the broker allows trading on that symbol.
• Netting accounts are handled automatically (one position per market at a time); a hedging account is recommended.
▶ STRATA DASHBOARD
A full on-chart dashboard, built into the EA:
• Dashboard tab: balance, equity, today and this-week results, open trades, win rate, algo-trading status.
• Engines tab: results of every module (by name) over 7 / 14 / 30 days, with an ON/OFF switch for each module.
• Equity tab: equity viewer.
• Execution monitor: execution quality score, ping, average slippage, live spreads and a 60-minute spread chart.
• Backtest tab: the tested results, year by year and module by module.
• 7 colour themes (Strata Dark, Strata Light, Midnight, Forest, Sunset, Mono, Classic) — switch any time.
▶ SETUP
1. Attach Index Swift to ONE chart only (any symbol, H1 recommended). It trades all of its markets from that chart.
2. Check the symbol names match your broker (default US500, NAS100, GER40 — some brokers use e.g. "SPX500", "USTEC", "DE40").
Leave a symbol empty to switch that market off.
3. Choose risk per trade (default 0.5%) — or fixed lots.
4. The broker clock is detected automatically — no GMT settings needed.
Recommended balance: $5,500 at the default risk (minimum about $2,500). Below that, the modules with the widest
stops trade the broker's minimum lot and risk a little more than the setting.
Up to 4 positions can be open at the same time (one per module), so the worst case is roughly 4 x your risk setting.
A low-latency VPS is recommended. In tests with simulated slow execution (2022 and 2024) the EA stayed profitable, but
profit factor fell by 0.00 – 0.05.
▶ INPUTS
• S&P 500, Nasdaq 100, DAX 40 symbol names
• Position size: risk % of balance or fixed lots
• Risk per trade (%) / lot size
• Broker clock: automatic (default) or manual offset
• Magic number (modules use this number +1 to +16), slippage
• Dashboard: on/off, theme, position
▶ HOW TO BACKTEST IT YOURSELF
Use an H1 chart, "Every tick based on real ticks", and fill in all symbol names with your broker's names.
Results will differ a little from broker to broker (different price feeds and costs).
▶ TRANSPARENCY
The modules were developed on 2019–2025 data, which flatters those years. 2018 is shown separately because it is the
earliest year before development. Results are backtests, not a promise of future profit. Drawdowns in live trading can
be deeper than in a backtest. Only trade with money you can afford to risk.
