Overview
TrendPilot EA is a fully automated trend-following system designed for MetaTrader 4 (MT4). It continuously monitors the market's directional trend and trades in the direction of that trend, aiming to capture sustained price moves while staying out of the market when no clear trend is present. The EA runs unattended on a fixed internal timeframe and handles trade entry, exit, and position sizing automatically — no manual monitoring required.

Reading the numbers:
The strategy wins a minority of its trades (~35%), but average winning trades are considerably larger than average losing trades. This difference between average wins and losses contributes to the overall Profit Factor of 4.74 during the tested period.
As with any backtest, these results reflect historical market conditions and the specific symbol, broker, spread, and execution environment used during testing. They do not guarantee future performance.
Recommended Use
- Best suited to trending and liquid instruments, with Gold/XAUUSD used for the example backtest.
