An ICT / SMC indicator for MetaTrader 5. It waits for a liquidity sweep of PDH or PDL, then a market structure shift back inside the range, and plots the trade.
How the model works
The indicator marks the previous day high (PDH) and previous day low (PDL) from the completed daily candle, then waits for a liquidity grab: buy-side liquidity taken above PDH or sell-side liquidity taken below PDL. A stop hunt into the level must be followed by displacement back inside the range, confirmed by a change of character (CHoCH) or break of structure (BOS) in the reversal direction. Only then does it plot the entry, stop loss, take profit, and the 1:1 level.
Liquidity pools escalate through the day instead of resetting: a PDH swept in Asia gets hunted again at the London session high, and a London-session high swept gets hunted at the New York open. This runs independently per side, so a swept high leaves the opposite side's liquidity untouched. This cascade can be switched off to trade PDH/PDL alone.
Entry logic and imbalance
Entries are placed at the structure break level, the nearest fair value gap (FVG), inversion FVG (IFVG) or balanced price range (BPR), the earliest imbalance in the displacement leg, or a fib/OTE retracement between the break and the stop. The indicator detects every open imbalance in the displacement leg, not just the first, and applies a separate mitigation rule per type (wick, close inside, or close beyond the far edge). An optional filter restricts entries to breaks that contain an unmitigated inefficiency.
Filters and display
A higher-timeframe (HTF) trend filter can require entries to align with HTF structure, or ignore it. Internal and external market structure are tracked separately, each with its own swing lookback, with a background tint showing HTF bias. A maximum-setups-per-day limit is available.
Only the current state is drawn on the chart — no build-up of old zones, arrows or boxes. Sweep markers name the level taken (e.g. PDL sweep, Asia high sweep, London high sweep), and session Killzone lines mark session start and end. Risk/reward boxes label entry, stop loss and take profit, with an optional setup panel.
Alerts and other details
Alerts are available for entry setups, liquidity sweeps, and bullish or bearish CHoCH/BOS, with terminal popup and MT5 mobile push switchable independently. Evaluation happens on closed candles only, so confirmed setups never repaint. Session times are configurable in broker server time, and a diagnostic log explains why each break was taken or skipped. The model suits forex, gold and indices on any timeframe.
