Description
Market Structure Gold EA is Auto trading systen structure levels with three entry models and a capped recovery. Every basket has a level cap, a money stop, a time stop, a daily equity breaker and a real server-side stop loss.Market Structure Gold EA trades XAUUSD around the levels that most gold traders already watch: yesterday's high and yesterday's low. Around each level the EA builds a zone of a configurable width, and it waits for price to interact with that zone in one of three specific ways before it takes a position.
It is a level-and-structure system, not a simple scalper. It is safe trades by fix lot size.
How it trades
Three entry models run independently, each on its own magic number, Also you can enable or disable them at a time:
1. Breakout and retest. Price closes beyond the zone by a set distance, then comes back into the zone. The EA enters in the direction of the original break.
2. Retest and breakout. Price first visits the zone at one end of the day's range, then travels across and breaks the opposite level by a set distance. The EA enters in the direction of that break.
3. Retest, pullback, retest. Price touches the zone, pulls away by a set distance, then returns to the zone. The EA enters on the second touch.
Every entry model has its own zone width, break distance, timeframe, take profit and stop loss, so each one can be tuned to how gold actually behaves at that level rather than sharing one compromise setting.
Day-range filter
Before any entry, the EA compares yesterday's range with the average range of the last past days. If yesterday was unusually quiet or unusually violent relative to that average, the day is skipped. The acceptable range is set as a minimum and maximum percentage of the average range, so you decide how much of the distribution you want to trade.
This filter exists because level trading behaves very differently on a compressed day than on an expansion day, and blending the two is what usually breaks this style of system.
Position management and recovery
Take profit and stop loss are measured as a percentage of the basket's volume-weighted average price, not from a single entry. They are managed by the EA rather than sitting on the server, which keeps your exit levels out of view.
An optional recovery can add to a basket at a fixed percentage step when price moves against it. Added positions use the first entry's lot size — the volume does not double, and there is no martingale multiplier.
Buy and sell baskets are independent on hedging accounts. An optional lock restricts trading to one strategy at a time if you prefer a single exposure.
Risk control
This is where most of the development went. Five limits work at the same time, and each one can be switched off if you want to test without it:
Recover level cap. A hard ceiling on how many positions a single basket can hold. Once the cap is reached the basket stops averaging and runs to its take profit, its stop loss or one of the stops below. This is the setting that decides your worst case.
Basket money stop. A basket is closed when its floating loss reaches a set percentage of account balance, regardless of where price sits relative to the average. Checked on every tick, not once per bar.
Basket time stop. A basket is closed after a set number of hours. Optionally the EA will wait past that deadline until the basket is at breakeven or better, if you would rather trade time for a flat exit.
Daily equity breaker. The EA snapshots equity at the start of each server day. If drawdown from that snapshot reaches your limit, it stops opening new positions for the rest of the day and can close everything immediately. The state is stored on disk, so restarting the terminal or the VPS mid-day does not reset the limit.
Real broker-side stop loss. Every position carries an actual stop loss on the broker's server, placed at order send with an automatic retry if the broker rejects it, plus a background sweep that attaches a stop to any position found without one. This is a catastrophic backstop: if your VPS dies, your connection drops or the terminal freezes, the positions are not naked. It sits deliberately wider than the managed basket stop so it does not interfere with normal operation.
On-chart panel
A panel shows equity, balance, floating result, a daily drawdown gauge against your limit, every active risk limit, and a live table of open baskets with their level count against the cap, result and age. Values change colour as they approach their limits, so you see a basket getting old or hitting the grid cap before a stop fires.
The panel can be placed in any chart corner and collapsed to its header. Five chart themes are included, and the EA restores your original chart colours when you remove it. Basket average, take profit and stop loss levels can also be drawn on the chart.
Recommended setup
- Symbol: XAUUSD (works on any gold-quoted symbol name)
- Timeframe: any — the EA reads the timeframes it needs internally
- Account: hedging is recommended; netting works with the strategy lock enabled
- Broker: low spread on gold matters more than anything else for this system
- VPS: recommended, though the server-side stop loss covers you if it goes down
- Backtesting: use real tick data with real spread; results from M1 OHLC modelling will not reflect how this EA actually fills
- Balance Recommended 500$
