hello everyone. i have a problem with this EA . i put the lot 1.5 and the delta 200 on xauusd.buy only - its open only the first trade. then never open more. even if the price go down more then 20 dollars on xauusd. how can i fix it ? max lot is 10 and the max order is 7 .anyone can help me '

Operates on H1 which means everything moves very slowly. Typically less than 1 trade / day.

This expert advisor is quite high-quality, but it is more of a semi-automatic one, as it lacks intelligent tools for closing losing trades. During strong trending movements, a losing trade will remain open until the market reverses, which could take weeks. If many such trades accumulate, trading gets blocked, and you'll have to close these trades manually, which will completely wipe out your profits. Unfortunately, stop-losses are also not included, so you will need to set them yourself or simply close losing trades at the end of the week to free up margin. You can also use ModeDD, which will close your trades (presumably all of them, though I haven't tested this yet), lock in the losses, and restart trading. This option is also questionable.

Back tested this EA and it blew the account several times. The strategy needs to be updated and more user inputs should be available to adjust the trading specifics. It would be great if the author could share the source code so others can contribute to improvement. Great Work!

I tested the EA using EURUSD H1 over period 1st Feb 2014 to 1st Feb 2024, using real tick data. Using a $10000 account and starting 0.01 lots. This is a Grid strategy and as such it will add to lots and increase the lots in order to build more momentum or if the market goes the wrong direction, it will open opposite trades to recover from failing open positions. The EA blew the account in 2016 and then again 2017. Grid strategies can be inherently risky if the space between the positions is not wide enough. I would normally expect the space between new positions to be at least 700 to 1000 points if trading EURUSD. In the case of this EA, this is a perfect example of one which opens too many positions and then blows the account when the market keeps going the wrong way. I think the idea is good, but the implementation should be modified to allow user to widen the grid size depending on the traded instrument. Alternatively to trade in one direction and use it as a martingale rather than a grid strategy. Hope the above is useful feedback for anyone using this strategy.

Interesting EA. Only problem is that it's completely unreliable in my testing. Results are extremely inconsistent. It will blow your account one year, then be profitable the next. Tried optimising for several timeframes, after which it would be profitable for the optimised year, then blow your account in out-of-sample data/years. The mere fact that it blows your account in ANY given year, means it cannot be used. At all.
