Overview
Apex Quant XAU is a 100% automated Expert Advisor designed exclusively for trading Gold (XAUUSD) on the 5-minute timeframe. It combines Smart Money Concepts (SMC) with classic Price Action and a proprietary RSI + Order Block Divergence detection system, delivering high-probability entries with institutional accuracy.
The EA does not rely on a single strategy. Instead, it stacks multiple confluence filters before executing any trade, ensuring that only the highest-quality setups reach the market.
How It Works
Apex Quant XAU operates on a layered signal architecture:
Layer 1 — Market Structure (SMC) The EA scans for Liquidity Sweeps: moments when the price aggressively sweeps through a previous high or low, trapping retail traders before reversing. It also identifies Fair Value Gaps (FVG), areas of imbalance left by institutional impulses that the price tends to revisit and fill.
Layer 2 — RSI Divergences + Order Blocks: The EA detects bullish and bearish RSI divergences, situations where the price marks a new extreme but momentum doesn't confirm it, signaling an imminent reversal. At the same time, it maps Order Blocks: the last opposing candle before a strong impulse move, which act as institutional supply and demand zones. Entries are only triggered when the price returns to these zones with a confirming candle.
Layer 3 — Price Action Confirmation: Each signal is confirmed by classic price action patterns: Engulfing candles, Pin Bars, Inside Bars, and Breakouts, all validated against the 8/21 EMA trend filter.
Layer 4 — EMA Cross Trend Filter: No trades are opened against the current EMA trend. Bullish signals require a fast EMA above a slow EMA; bearish signals, the opposite. This prevents counter-trend entries in directional markets.
Risk Management
Apex Quant XAU includes a professional risk engine focused on capital preservation:
Three lot sizing modes: Fixed lot, fixed percentage of risk per trade, or dynamic sizing based on equity
Daily loss limit: Automatically stops trading when the daily drawdown threshold is reached
Maximum number of open positions and total volume
Margin usage control: Does not open trades if free margin falls below the configured threshold
Automatic trailing stop to secure profits as the trade moves in your favor
