Most scalpers lose money in the same place: sideways markets, where they open trade after trade and give back the week's profit in an afternoon. Open Momentum Scalper is built around one rule: trade only when the market is really moving, and press hard when it is.

It runs fully automatically on MetaTrader 4. It's built for Gold (XAUUSD) and index CFDs, with full protection on every trade.

Why traders choose it

• It sits out flat markets. A multi-timeframe regime engine checks whether a real trend is in play before any trade is allowed. When the market is ranging, the EA waits.
• It catches trends early. It's designed to recognise a trend while it is forming, not after the move is over.
• It builds positions on strength, not on hope. It adds to a position only when the existing one is already protected and price is moving its way. It never averages down into losers.
• It locks in profit. Breakeven, trailing stop and an optional partial close protect gains on every position.
• It recovers smartly. If a trade goes against you and momentum confirms the reversal, a recovery engine can open an opposite position to offset the loss.
• It adapts its size. It scales up gradually during strong performance and back down when conditions weaken. Size resets to your base risk every day.

Note on recovery: Recovery positions open at a larger lot size than the original trade (2x by default) with a tighter stop. In the worst case, a losing trade plus its recovery position can cost about twice your normal risk per trade. You can switch recovery off with one setting.

You can see everything at a glance: balance, equity, today's profit, progress to your daily target, current lot size, open and recovery positions, today's win rate, market regime, spread and session status.

Recommendations

• Symbols: XAUUSD and DE40. Test other symbols in the Strategy Tester first.
• Timeframe: any chart. M5 is recommended for viewing.
• Account: low-spread ECN or raw account. Hedging must be allowed if recovery is on.
• Minimum balance: from 300 USD (0.01 lot on Gold, default settings).
• A VPS is recommended.
• Always test on a demo account first.
