A set-and-forget round-number trading tool for MetaTrader 5.
Round numbers move markets. Every serious trader already watches them — the 1900s, the 2000s, the 50s and 100s where price hesitates, reverses, or breaks clean. The problem was never knowing that these levels matter. It was everything around actually trading them: marking them by hand, re-marking them after every zoom, opening the order dialog, typing the price, typing the stop, typing the target, and doing it again for the next level. And the next. And the one after that.
KeyLevels removes that busywork entirely. It draws the levels, and it lets you place, size, and manage your orders right from the chart — nothing to mark, nothing to recalculate, nothing to retype.
What It Actually Does
- Auto-generates round-number levels around current price, at whatever increment fits your instrument — 10s and 50s for gold, tighter increments for forex pairs.
- Draws clean, uncluttered lines that extend forward from price, not backward through your entire chart history burying your price action in clutter.
- Click a level, get an order ticket — instantly. It only shows you the order types that are actually valid at that level (no fumbling through four options when only two make sense).
- Set your stop and target once, at the click — no separate dialog, no re-entering the price you just clicked.
- A live order panel tracks everything you've placed through the tool, so you can adjust stops and targets — or close out — without hunting through your terminal's order list.
- Built-in guardrails: it won't let a typo silently become an unprotected order, won't stack duplicate orders on a level you've already worked, and tells you why if your broker rejects a stop that's set too tight — on the chart, in plain language, not buried in a log you'll never open.
Who This Is For
- Range and reversal traders who already treat round numbers as decision points and want to act on them the moment price arrives — not two minutes later, after finding the order dialog.
- Set-and-forget traders placing a grid of pending orders around a level and walking away — the tool remembers what you placed so you don't have to.
- Gold and index traders, where clean round-number reactions are especially pronounced and a tool built around that logic pays for itself in saved clicks alone.
- Anyone tired of the gap between "I see the level" and "I have an order sitting on it."
Who This Isn't For
In the spirit of not overselling: this tool does not predict where price will go, does not claim an edge, and will not tell you which levels will hold. It draws the map. You still decide where to walk. If you're looking for a signal or an automated strategy, this isn't it — and we'd rather tell you that now than have you find out after buying.
Inputs
| Input | What it controls |
|---|---|
| RoundStep | The price increment for levels (e.g. 50 for XAUUSD, adjust per instrument) |
| MaxLevelsUp / MaxLevelsDown | How many levels are drawn above/below current price |
| LevelColor / LevelWidth / LevelStyle | Visual styling of the level lines |
| ShowPriceLabel | Toggle price labels on each level |
| ClickTolerancePx | How forgiving a click needs to be to register on a level — scales correctly at any zoom |
| DefaultLotSize | Lot size used when placing orders through the tool |
| MagicNumber | Isolates this tool's orders from anything else running on your account |
| PanelRefreshSec | How often the order panel re-checks your live orders and positions |
The Philosophy Behind It
This tool was built on a simple rule: remove the friction, don't add the noise. No indicators layered on top pretending to predict reversals. No dashboard cluttered with numbers you'll never act on. No promises about performance, because a tool that draws lines and places orders has no business making them.
What's left is what should have existed from the start — the space between seeing a level and acting on it, closed to a single click.
Compatible with MetaTrader 5. Works on any symbol with a defined tick size. Requires AutoTrading enabled to place orders.
