Avatar Fibo MT5 EA
Avatar Fibo MT5 is an Expert Advisor developed specifically for XAUUSD on the M15 timeframe.
Fibonacci retracement is widely used in trading, but the difficult part is deciding which retracement zone, confirmation method, and market condition should actually qualify as an entry.
Avatar Fibo MT5 automates this process using three independent Fibonacci based strategies. Each strategy evaluates retracements differently and can be enabled individually or combined.
Developed Across Multiple Market Periods
The strategies used in Avatar Fibo MT5 were developed and analyzed using approximately five years of historical Gold market data.
The selected strategy configurations were then evaluated through approximately 11 months of walk-forward testing.
After this process, the system was tested on an additional seven months of new market data that was not used during the earlier strategy analysis and selection process.
This separation between strategy development, walk-forward evaluation, and new-data testing was used to reduce dependence on a single historical period.
Strategy Overview
Avatar Fibo MT5 identifies Fibonacci retracement opportunities within an existing price move.
Instead of entering every retracement, the EA evaluates additional market information before allowing a trade.
The three available strategies use different combinations of:
- Fibonacci retracement structure
- Price action confirmation
- Market structure
- ATR based volatility analysis
- VWAP conditions
- Swap zone analysis
- Trend and momentum filters
Each strategy operates independently.
Users can enable one strategy, multiple strategies, or allow the EA to select opportunities from all enabled strategies.
Entry Management
Avatar Fibo MT5 supports:
- Market entries
- Pending stop entries
- Configurable Fibonacci zones
- Setup expiration
- Entry offsets
- Spread protection
- Stop level validation
- Broker volume validation
The EA evaluates new opportunities automatically without requiring manual Fibonacci drawing.
Stop Loss and Take Profit
Multiple trade protection methods are available.
Stop Loss can be calculated using:
- Recent market structure
- Fibonacci zone buffer
- ATR based distance
- Fixed points
Take Profit can be calculated using:
- Risk to reward ratio
- Fibonacci extension
- ATR based target
- Fixed points
This allows users to test different trade management configurations while keeping the underlying entry strategy unchanged.
Lot Size and Risk Management
Three position sizing modes are available:
- Fixed Lot: Uses the lot size selected by the user.
- Risk Percent: Calculates position size according to the selected percentage of account risk and Stop Loss distance.
- Auto Lot: Automatically adjusts position size according to account balance milestones and the configured Auto Lot settings.
Additional protection includes:
- Maximum lot limits
- Daily trade limits
- Daily profit limits
- Daily loss limits
- Break-even management
- Spread protection
- Margin validation

Gold symbol specifications, spreads, commissions, execution and historical data can differ between brokers.
Testing the EA
The MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester can be used to evaluate Avatar Fibo MT5 before live deployment.
The strategy was developed and analyzed using XAUUSD market data from 2021 through December 2024.
Although the EA can be evaluated from 2021 onward, users who want to independently assess how the completed strategy performed beyond its original development data are encouraged to focus on the period from January 2025 to the latest available date.
This later period represents the more meaningful evaluation approach because it covers the walk-forward evaluation phase followed by new unseen market data from February 2026 onward.
Users are encouraged to test:
- January 2025 to the latest available date
- Their own broker data
- Spread and commission conditions
- Different starting balances
- Different risk settings
For meaningful comparison, testing should follow the recommended XAUUSD symbol, M15 timeframe, and strategy configuration.
Results can vary between brokers due to differences in historical data, spread, commission, execution, and XAUUSD contract specifications.
