Tools for prop-firm traders on MetaTrader 5.
I build risk and trade-management utilities for traders on prop-firm challenges and funded accounts: tools that keep you inside the daily and maximum loss rules, so one bad trade or one bad day doesn't cost you the account.
How I work - Versão: 1.0
- Ativações: 10
Free 14-day trial (demo accounts) | User guide | Prop Risk Guard Pro (guard only) | Prop Risk Guard (basic)
Prop Trade Manager is a one-click trading panel built for prop-firm challenges and funded accounts. You set your risk in percent and the stop loss; the panel works out the lot size, checks that the stop can't take you past your firm's daily or maximum loss limit, opens the trade and then manages it for you: partial close, break-even and trailing stop.
Underneath it runs the full Prop Risk Guard Pro engine: firm presets, daily and maximum loss locks, news lock and Friday close for the whole account.
Trade panel
- Buy and Sell buttons with the lot size already worked out from your risk (% of balance, equity or the initial challenge balance)
- Stop loss in points, or automatic: 1.5 x ATR(14) of the chart's timeframe
- Take profit as a multiple of the risk (for example 2R), or none
- Lines mode: drag the stop-loss and take-profit lines on the chart; the lot updates as you drag
- Pending mode: drag an entry line too; the panel places a limit or stop order depending on where the line is
- Close this symbol, close all (both ask for a second click) and move every trade to break-even
- The panel shows the lot, the money at risk and the room left before the guard would step in
Prop-safe sizing (what makes it different)
Before every trade the panel adds up what you would lose if every open trade and pending order hit its stop loss. A new trade's stop may only use the room that is left before your daily or maximum loss limit (minus the safety buffer). If the trade would need more, the lot is cut to fit, or the trade is refused if you prefer. So a run of stopped-out trades can't push you past a limit; only slippage, gaps or trades without a stop loss can.
Automatic trade management (R = distance from entry to the first stop loss)
- Partial close: close a part of the position at a profit of X R (default: 50% at 1R)
- Break-even: move the stop to the entry at X R, optionally locking a little profit (default: at 1R)
- Trailing stop: from X R, follow the price at a distance of Y R (default: from 1.5R at 1R)
- Choose which trades it manages: panel trades on this symbol, all trades on this symbol (also manual trades and other EAs), or all trades on the account
- Only works while the market is open, so the broker never sees requests during the daily break
Prop firm guard (whole account: every symbol, every EA, manual trades)
- Firm presets: FTMO 2-Step, FTMO 1-Step, FundedNext Stellar 2-Step, The5ers High Stakes, or Custom
- Daily loss limit with the reset in server time, Prague time, New York time or UTC (summer time handled)
- Maximum loss: static, trailing or end-of-day trailing
- Steps in at, for example, 80% of a limit: closes all positions, deletes pending orders and keeps trading locked (daily: until the reset, maximum: for good)
- Optional: per-trade loss cap and stop loss for trades without one, max positions, lots and trades per day, high-impact news lock (MetaTrader's built-in calendar), Friday close
The presets follow the rules the firms published in October 2026. Firms change their rules: compare the panel with your firm's dashboard before trading.
Try it in the Strategy Tester
In the tester the panel opens demo trades with your settings (tester only, never on a live chart), so you can watch the lot sizing, partial close, break-even and trailing stop at work.
How it was tested
Strategy Tester, PU Prime history, 1-minute OHLC, 100,000 USD account, random demo entries (the entries mean nothing; the test is about the sizing and the management):
- Default settings, XAUUSD, January to April 2026: 271 demo trades, 134 partial closes, 133 moves to break-even, 96 trailing stops, 0 failed trade requests
- Default settings, EURUSD, same period: 242 trades, 113 partial closes, 111 moves to break-even, 73 trailing stops, 0 failed requests
- FTMO 2-Step preset with a deliberately high 2% risk per trade, XAUUSD: the random entries took the account down to 92,015.49, just above 92,000, where the guard steps in (80% of the 10% maximum loss). The panel cut the lot three times to fit the room left, then refused every further trade because even the smallest lot's stop could have crossed that level. The account never reached the lock
No lock fired in any run: no stop loss could reach a limit.
Good to know
- The terminal must be running for the panel to manage trades (a VPS is recommended for funded accounts)
- Lot sizes come from the broker's own tick values (OrderCalcProfit); commissions are not included in the risk
- With "All trades on the account", attach it to one chart only, or two charts would manage the same trades
- Trades without a stop loss can't be counted in the room; the panel marks the room with "?" while one is open
- Tested on a hedging account. Netting accounts (one position per symbol) are supported but were not tested
Inputs
- Trade panel: risk %, risk base, default stop (points, 0 = ATR), take profit in R, shrink or refuse when the room is too small, magic number, comment
- Trade management: which trades, break-even at R and profit to lock, partial close at R and %, trailing start and distance in R
- Prop firm: preset, initial balance, highest balance so far (trailing)
- Daily and maximum loss limits (Custom rules), safety buffer, warning level, daily profit target
- Per-trade loss cap, trades without a stop loss, trade limits, news lock, Friday close
- Alerts, push notifications, panel position and font size
- Tester demo trades (Strategy Tester only)
