ICT Killzones Honest Stats

ICT Killzones Honest Stats draws the four classic ICT killzones and, unlike other killzone indicators, measures on your own chart whether they behave the way the theory says.

Killzones (New York time, editable)
- Asia 20:00-00:00
- London open 02:00-05:00
- New York open 07:00-10:00
- London close 10:00-12:00
Each killzone is drawn as a box from its high to its low. Sessions, colours and the number of days drawn can be changed; each zone can be switched off.

The stats table
The table is calculated from all weekdays loaded on the chart (Sunday evening sessions are skipped because they are partial days).
1. Day high/low made here: the share of daily highs and lows (New York day, midnight to midnight) that formed inside each killzone.
2. If it were random: the share of the day's bars that fall inside that killzone. If highs and lows landed on random bars, this is how often they would land in the zone.
3. Ratio: column 1 divided by column 2. Above 1x means the zone produces more highs and lows than its length alone explains.
Important: a ratio above 1x usually reflects that the session is busier. More movement means more chances to set the day's extreme. It does not tell you the direction.
4. Judas swing test: on days when price breaks the Asian range (previous 20:00-00:00) during the London killzone, how often does the day close back inside the range (a reversal, the "Judas swing")? The table compares the result with a coin flip: 50% plus or minus the 95% margin for the number of cases. Inside that band means the reversal rate is indistinguishable from chance. Fewer than 30 cases are reported as too few.

Example (XAUUSD H1, January 2025 to September 2026, 450 weekdays): London close made 14% of the day's highs and lows against 9% expected by chance; the Judas swing reversed on 42% of 373 days, fewer than a coin flip, so the London breakout usually kept going. On EURUSD over the same period the Judas swing came out at 49%: no edge. Test the idea on the market you trade before relying on it.

Broker time zone
Killzones are in New York time. Most brokers run their server clock at New York + 7 hours all year (New York 17:00 = server midnight). In Auto mode the indicator reads your broker's clock; if your broker uses a different setup, choose Manual and enter the difference in hours. The table shows which setting is in use.

How to use it
- Works on charts of 1 hour or lower; 1 hour loads the most history and gives the most reliable numbers
- Change the symbol or timeframe and the stats recalculate
- More history on the chart gives more reliable numbers (Tools > Options > Charts > Max bars in chart)

Limitations
- The stats only cover the history loaded on the chart
- Highs and lows are measured on bar highs and lows, so on a 1-hour chart the exact minute inside the bar is not known
- Past behaviour does not guarantee future behaviour. This is a measuring tool, not a trading signal

Inputs
- Asia / London open / New York open / London close: session in New York time (HH:MM-HH:MM), on/off, colour
- Draw boxes for the last N days: default 60 (0 = all)
- Fill the boxes: default off
- Time zone: Auto or Manual; Manual: server time minus New York time, hours (default 7)
- Show the honest stats table, table corner, font size
