Kairos Gold
Kairos — the ancient Greek word for the perfect moment: not time that merely passes, but the brief instant when conditions align and action becomes opportunity.
Kairos Gold trades XAUUSD only at statistically selected hours of the day, and only in market regimes where its edge has been verified. The rest of the time it stays flat. No trades in unclear conditions — by design.
■ 10 strategy modules, 2 engines
The EA runs 10 independent modules. Each is a combination of an entry hour, a direction and a market regime, filtered by a daily-chart trend gate.
- Grid engine (buy side): accumulates equal-lot positions during strong uptrends and closes them with quick profit-taking and basket netting. No martingale — every grid level uses the same lot size.
- Scalp engine (buy and sell): single positions with a hard stop loss on the server, break-even protection and a time exit. Sell modules harvest pullbacks in bearish regimes, so the EA also works when gold moves sideways or down.
■ Built-in protection (what makes it different)
Many high-win-rate gold EAs hide their risk. Kairos Gold limits it structurally:
- No martingale, no lot multiplication — ever
- Balance-scaled grid: a small account is allowed only a shallow grid; depth unlocks as the account grows
- Total exposure cap — volume can never pile up without limit
- Regime-exit protection: if the bullish regime collapses while grid positions are open, all baskets are closed immediately
- Overheat guard: no new grid entries into euphoric blow-off tops
- Spread-anomaly guard: entries pause when the live spread spikes above its recent norm
- Volatility tail guard: on extreme days a single scalp that would risk too much even at the minimum lot is skipped
- Equity stop (configurable): a hard floor under the whole account
- Trade-cost watchdog: if commission/spread eats the edge, the EA detects it and stops opening new positions
- Works on any account currency — all thresholds auto-convert
■ Requirements
- Symbol: XAUUSD (gold)
- Hedging account (the EA refuses netting accounts to protect you)
- Deposit from 500 USD, recommended 1,000+ (or currency equivalent)
- Leverage 1:100 or higher (1:500 recommended)
- VPS recommended for 24/5 operation
- First run: the EA needs about 250 daily (D1) bars to initialize its trend filter. If the journal shows "waiting for D1 history", open the XAUUSD D1 chart and scroll back (Home key), or restart the terminal, to download it. One-time step.
■ Honest notes
- Results are strongest in trending gold markets. In flat regimes the EA deliberately reduces or stops trading — weeks with few or no trades are normal and intended.
- The grid engine holds floating positions during pullbacks; the equity stop and exposure scaling cap this, but grid trading is never risk-free.
