MelloGuard protects every trade and the whole account. It adds a stop loss and a take profit to any position that has none, moves stops to breakeven and trails them, and enforces a daily loss limit, a maximum drawdown and a daily profit target by closing positions and blocking new trades until the next day.
Automatic stop loss and take profit
- Works on manual trades, on trades from other Expert Advisors, or on one magic number
- All symbols from one chart, or the chart symbol only
- Stop loss by fixed points, by ATR multiple (any timeframe) or by a loss in percent of equity calculated from the position volume
- Take profit by fixed points or as an R multiple of the stop
- Existing stops are never removed; only missing ones are added
- Optional delay after opening, for traders who place stops by hand within a few seconds
Breakeven and trailing
- Stop to breakeven at a chosen R multiple, with an offset in points
- ATR trailing stop that starts at a chosen R multiple and only moves in your favour
Account guard
- Daily loss limit in percent of the day-start balance and/or in money
- Maximum drawdown from the equity peak
- Daily profit target
- When a limit is hit: close the protected positions, delete pending orders and close any new position opened before the next trading day
- Trading day start hour is adjustable (server time)
- Optional terminal alert
Dashboard
Status (PROTECTED, ADDING STOPS or BLOCKED with the reason), today's P/L with progress bars for the loss limit and the target, drawdown from the peak, equity and peak, the active stop, target, breakeven and trailing settings, and the current, average and maximum spread of the chart symbol.
Strategy Tester
In the tester there are no manual trades, so MelloGuard opens small demonstration trades without stops (input "Tester only") to show stops being added, breakeven, trailing and the daily limits. This is a demonstration of the mechanics, not a trading strategy.
Notes
- Attach MelloGuard to one chart. With "All symbols" it protects positions on every symbol of the account.
- Stops and closes are sent only while the symbol's trading session is open, respecting the broker's stop and freeze levels.
- Allow Algo Trading in the terminal and in the MelloGuard settings.
- MelloGuard reduces the impact of mistakes and bad days; it does not predict the market and does not guarantee any result.
