Trade Control Center

Most trade managers work on the orders they placed themselves, or on the symbol of the chart they sit on. This one works on the account.

Trade Control Center puts every open position and every pending order on your account into one list - whoever opened them. Trades you placed by hand, from your phone, from another terminal, or from any EA all appear in the same table, across every symbol, and you can act on them from there.

It does not open trades on its own, it does not give advice, and it does not send signals. Nothing is closed unless you press a button, or unless you switch on a limit and tell it what to do.

BUILT FOR HEDGING ACCOUNTS

Telling one EA's trades from another's is only possible while the platform keeps them as separate positions, and that is what a hedging account does. On a netting account MetaTrader merges everything into a single position per symbol and the magic number stops identifying anything, so nothing can separate them there. This tool reads the account type when it starts, and on a netting account it limits itself to monitoring and says so on screen.

ONE LIST, WHOEVER OPENED IT
- Every open position and every pending order, across all symbols
- Fold the list by symbol, by EA or by direction. Folded rows show the count, the total lots and the total result
- Click a column heading to sort. The sorted column is marked
- Net exposure per currency, such as EUR +1.50 USD -1.00 JPY -0.50
- Today's result and the running total, for the account and for each EA, commission and swap included
- EAs are found on their own from the magic numbers in your open trades and the last 30 days of history. There is nothing to set up

SELECT, THEN ACT ON WHAT YOU SELECTED
- Tick rows one by one, or use All, Buys, Sells, Losing, Winning, Symbol or EA. Press All again to clear the selection
- Close, close 50 percent, close a percentage you type, move the stop to break-even, start trailing, or cancel pending orders
- Every action asks first. The panel shows what is about to happen - Close 6 position(s), 1.30 lots, -142.30 USD? - and nothing happens unless you press again within five seconds

ORDER ENTRY
- The lot size is worked out from the risk you allow and the distance to your stop, given either as a percent or as an amount
- Market orders, and pending orders as buy limit, sell limit, buy stop or sell stop, with an expiry
- Drag the stop line and the pending price on the chart. The lot size and the amount at risk follow the line
- A TP can be placed at 1:1, 1:1.5 or 1:2 of the stop distance

THREE LAYERS OF LIMITS
The whole account. Each EA on its own. The hours you allow trading. Each layer is set separately and each one acts on its own. At 80 percent of a limit the row turns yellow, and at the limit it turns red with the reason written out.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A LIMIT IS REACHED - YOU CHOOSE
1. TELL ME. This is the default. Nothing is closed and nothing is stopped, the row turns red and the reason is spelled out, with an optional alert, push notification and sound. A new installation does only this until you change it.

2. CLOSE AND LOCK. The positions in scope are closed and their pending orders cancelled. While the lock is on, anything opened again in that scope is closed as well. An EA does not know it has been stopped, so it keeps trying, and every attempt costs you the spread. The panel counts those attempts and shows the running cost, so this is never happening quietly.

3. STOP THE CHART. Available per EA. The chart that EA runs on is closed, which takes it off the terminal for real, and a template is saved first so you can put it back. This one still works while Algo Trading is off, because closing a chart is not a trading operation.

Daily limits and the trading window release themselves at the reset hour you choose. A total loss limit stays locked until you clear it yourself, with a two-step confirmation.

WHAT IT CANNOT DO
- New orders use the symbol of the chart this tool is on. The list is account-wide but order entry is not, because the stop and the pending price are set by dragging lines on this chart. To trade another symbol, put the tool on that symbol's chart. The order area always shows the symbol it will use.
- It cannot tell another EA to stop placing orders. MQL5 has no way to do that and the Market does not allow DLLs. What it can do is close what an EA opens, keep closing it, or close that EA's chart.
- Option 2 costs you the spread every time the EA opens again, as described above.
- On a netting account the per-EA features are not available, for the reason given above. Grouping by EA is not offered there either.
- Trades without a magic number, which is what manual trading gives you, are listed and counted, and the account limits and the trading window still apply to them. The per-EA actions cannot be used on them, because a machine should not close what a person opened by hand.
- Placing and closing orders needs Algo Trading to be on. The list, the grouping and all the figures keep working while it is off.
- It occupies one chart, and refuses to start on a second one so that two copies cannot fight over the same position.
- It lists up to 128 magic numbers. Past that, the newest ones are not listed - the panel says so and tells you which setting to lower.
- It does not predict prices, it does not tell you what to trade, and it makes no claim about your results.

HOW TO TEST IT

The free demo runs in the strategy tester. The tester gives you one symbol, one chart and one EA, so the very situation this tool is built for cannot arise there on its own. To make the demo mean something, in the tester only, the tool opens a few small practice trades under different magic numbers so that the list has rows in it. It never places an order of its own on a live account, it shows Tester self-test on the panel while it is doing this, and InpTesterDemo turns it off.

In the tester you can see the list, the grouping, the sorting, the exposure line, the selections, the two-step confirmations, order entry, and a limit going from OK to WARN to LOCKED when you set a small one. What you cannot see there is the list spanning several symbols, or one EA being dealt with while the others carry on, because the tester has only one of each. Try that on a demo account with two or three EAs running.

WHAT IS REMEMBERED

Settings, selections, sort order, folding, panel position, chart links, lock states and the start date of your running total are saved per account number. Change the timeframe or restart the terminal and it is all still there. Folded away, the panel still shows how many EAs are locked.
