HCS EA Session Ledger

HCS EA Session Ledger is a read-only MetaTrader 5 utility that groups today's recorded trading activity by Magic Number. It provides a compact view of EA activity and trade history alongside current open-position figures.

Automatic Magic Number discovery

Session Ledger automatically discovers Magic Numbers from currently open positions and today's deal history.

You do not need to remember or manually enter an Expert Advisor's Magic Number.

Select:

  • ALL activity
  • MAGIC 0 / UNASSIGNED
  • Any discovered nonzero Magic Number

You can also switch between:

  • Current Symbol
  • All Symbols

Realized activity

The REALIZED section displays:

  • Trading P/L
  • Commission
  • Swap
  • Deal fees
  • NET REALIZED
  • Closed lots

Open positions

The OPEN section displays:

  • Open positions
  • Open lots
  • Floating P/L
  • Open swap

SESSION P/L combines today's net realized activity with current floating P/L and open swap.

Magic Number attribution

Magic Numbers label trading records, but they are not guaranteed to identify a specific EA.

MAGIC 0 / UNASSIGNED may contain:

  • Manual trading
  • One EA
  • Multiple EAs
  • Other unassigned activity

Closing deals use their recorded Magic Number, which can differ from the Magic Number associated with an opening action.

Hedging and netting accounts

Hedging and netting accounts are supported.

On netting accounts, selected-Magic open figures and SESSION P/L display N/A because several strategies can contribute to a single net position. Select ALL activity to view open-position figures.

Recorded deal totals remain filterable by Magic Number.

TODAY and server time

Today's realized activity follows the date of the terminal's last known server quote time, beginning at midnight.

The panel displays the applicable date and server as-of time.

Open floating P/L may include positions opened before today. Therefore SESSION P/L is not necessarily account equity change since midnight or profit only from positions opened today.

Costs and accounting limitations

Costs recorded on today's trading deals are included, including applicable entry-side charges.

Separately booked account charges and other non-trading records are excluded and counted on the panel.

Results depend on broker-provided MT5 data and do not replace a broker statement.

Incomplete reversal history can make Closed lots unavailable.

Version 1.0 intentionally omits win rate, wins/losses and largest win/loss statistics rather than reconstructing potentially misleading trade statistics from deal history.

Inputs

The refresh interval is configurable from 1 to 60 seconds. The default is 2 seconds.

The activity menu temporarily pauses refresh while it is open.

Allow sufficient chart area for the compact DPI-scaled panel.

Read-only by design

Attach Session Ledger from the Navigator's Indicators section. An Expert Advisor can remain attached to the same chart.

Session Ledger does not:

  • Open trades
  • Close positions
  • Modify orders
  • Provide trading signals
  • Rate strategies
  • Predict performance

No external services, licensing, DLL or WebRequest are required.
