AP BTC Smart Trail Manager (MT5)

Third release in the AP BTC series.
Utility Expert Advisor for managing existing positions on BTC pairs: breakeven, two partial closes, and trailing stops (ATR, Chandelier, or fixed points). It does not open entries; it manages trades you or another EA have already placed.

What it does

  • Breakeven: moves SL to entry + buffer once a profit threshold is reached.

  • Partials (up to 2): closes a percentage of volume at user-defined profit distances.

  • Trailing stop: ATR, Chandelier-style, or fixed-points trail; optional “update on new bar.”

  • Scope control: manage BTC/XBT symbols only (default) or all symbols; optionally filter by Magic IDs.

  • Lifetime guard (optional): close position after N minutes if desired.

This tool is part of a staged rollout of the BTC range and prepares the ground for the upcoming AP BTC EAs.

How to use (quick start)

  1. Attach to your BTC chart (or any symbol if you turn off “BTC-only”).

  2. If you use specific EAs, enter their Magic numbers (comma-separated). Leave blank to manage any position on the chart.

  3. Set your BE/Partial/Trail thresholds and style, then allow Algo Trading. The manager will adjust SL and partials when your conditions are met.

Inputs at a glance

  • Scope: Manage BTC only (on/off), Magics CSV.

  • Breakeven: trigger (points), buffer (points).

  • Partial 1 & 2: percent to close, trigger (points).

  • Trailing: mode (ATR / Points / Chandelier), TF, ATR period & multiplier, points step, chandelier lookback.

  • Lifecycle: max trade minutes (optional), update only on new bar (on/off), log level.

Notes & limits

  • No entries, no martingale, no grid. This EA modifies stops/volume on positions that already exist.

  • Stops level respected: the tool adjusts requested SL levels to meet broker stop-distance rules.

  • Strategy Tester note: for validator compatibility, on non-BTC symbols in the Tester a one-time tiny deal may be created; this path is disabled on BTC charts and in live trading.
