Professional Delta Volume

Professional Delta Volume is a professional indicator for MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 that shows the difference between buy and sell volume (Delta Volume) and cumulative delta. Helps to see who dominates the market — buyers or sellers — and to find hidden divergences between price and volume.

What the indicator shows

Buy Volume (blue bars) — estimated buy volume per bar
Sell Volume (orange bars) — estimated sell volume
Delta (histogram) — Buy − Sell. Green = buyers dominate, red = sellers
Cumulative Delta (gold line) — accumulated delta since day start
Info panel — current Buy, Sell, Delta, Cum Delta and Bar Balance

Key features

📊 Two calculation methods

  • Bar-position (fast) — estimates based on candle close position

  • Real ticks (accurate) — analyzes real ticks via CopyTicksRange

🎯 Price/Delta divergences

  • Price makes new high, Delta drops → buyer weakness

  • Price flat, Cum Delta rises → institutional accumulation

📈 Bar Balance
Shows % dominance of buyers or sellers on the current bar.

How to use

1. Installation

  • MT5: copy to MQL5/Indicators/

  • MT4: copy to MQL4/Indicators/

  • Restart terminal, drag onto chart

2. Recommended settings

Implementation notes

  • Pure MQL4 / MQL5 — no DLLs, no external dependencies

  • Works on any instrument: Forex, crypto, metals, indices

  • All timeframes: M1 to MN

  • Optimized performance — recalculates only new bars

⚠️ Important warning

The indicator uses tick volume. In MT4/MT5 this is not real exchange volume, but the number of ticks per period. For Forex this is the only available volume metric.

The indicator doesn't provide buy/sell signals. All trading decisions are made by the trader.
