ZENITH – Smart and Flexible Gold Trading Solution
Introduction
ZENITH is an automated Expert Advisor developed specifically for Gold trading on the MetaTrader 4 platform.
It is a completely new system designed to replace the previous QuantBand EA. ZENITH features a redesigned trading strategy, enhanced signal-selection methods, and a new position-management framework intended to better suit current Gold market conditions.
ZENITH focuses on three key principles:
-
Selective trade entries
-
Controlled risk management
-
Flexible position management
The EA is suitable for both new users and experienced traders looking for an automated Gold trading system that is clear, configurable, and easy to operate.
Trading Signals
ZENITH continuously monitors the market and only considers opening a trade when the required conditions are confirmed.
Instead of trading frequently, the system is designed to wait for opportunities with a clear market structure and suitable trading conditions.
Multiple Confirmation Layers
The EA evaluates several groups of market data and filters before approving a trade.
This approach is designed to:
-
Reduce market noise
-
Avoid unsuitable market conditions
-
Prevent entries based on a single indicator
-
Improve the overall selectivity of trading opportunities
Adaptation to Different Market Conditions
ZENITH can process trading opportunities with different characteristics, including:
-
Medium-term trend movements
-
Shorter-term opportunities with clear momentum
-
Market conditions requiring a wider Stop Loss
-
Market conditions requiring tighter position control
The EA automatically classifies each setup and applies the appropriate management method. Users do not need to select the trading mode manually.
Position Management
ZENITH does more than simply open trades. It actively manages positions after entry.
Its position-management functions include:
-
Broker-side Stop Loss protection
-
Optional fixed Take Profit
-
Dynamic profit management
-
Maximum holding-time control
-
Position management based on changing market conditions
-
Automatic trade closure when the original conditions are no longer suitable
Users can choose between a fixed Take Profit or the EA’s internal exit-management system.
Risk Management
No Dangerous Trading Strategies
ZENITH does not use:
-
Martingale
-
Grid trading
-
Lot doubling to recover losses
-
Uncontrolled lot-size increases
-
Unlimited trade chains
Each trading cycle is managed according to the risk level selected by the user.
Adjustable Risk
Users can select the Risk (%) setting according to their account size and drawdown tolerance.
Examples:
-
0.50 = conservative risk
-
1.00 = standard risk
-
1.50 = higher risk
On smaller accounts, the broker’s minimum lot size may cause the actual risk to exceed the selected Risk value. Users should therefore test the exact symbol, account balance, and leverage before running the EA on a Live account.
Flexible Stop Loss
ZENITH provides separate Stop Loss settings for:
-
Swing trading conditions
-
Tactical trading conditions
Stop Loss distances are calculated using ATR, allowing them to adapt to current market volatility.
Optional Take Profit
Users can configure Take Profit using an R-multiple:
-
0.00 = fixed Take Profit disabled
-
1.00 = Take Profit at 1R
-
2.00 = Take Profit at 2R
-
3.00 = Take Profit at 3R
When Take Profit is set to zero, the EA uses its internal position-management system to manage exits.
Supported Symbols
ZENITH uses the symbol of the chart on which the EA is attached.
It can operate with Gold symbols such as:
-
XAUUSD
-
GOLD
-
XAUUSD+
-
XAUUSD.a
-
XAUUSD-ECN
-
GOLD.a
-
Other broker-specific Gold symbols with prefixes or suffixes
Users must attach the EA directly to the correct Gold chart provided by their broker.
Contract size, tick value, spread, and trading conditions may vary between brokers. For this reason, users should backtest the exact symbol they intend to trade before running the EA on a Live account.
Time Configuration
ZENITH uses a Time Shift setting to align the broker’s server time with the strategy reference time.
Formula:
Strategy Time = Broker Server Time + Shift
Common settings include:
-
Broker fixed GMT+0:
-
New York summer: -4
-
New York winter: -5
-
-
Broker fixed GMT+2:
-
New York summer: -6
-
New York winter: -7
-
-
Broker fixed GMT+3:
-
New York summer: -7
-
New York winter: -8
-
-
Broker GMT+2 in winter and GMT+3 in summer:
-
Normally use -7
-
During weeks when the broker and New York change daylight-saving time on different dates, a temporary value of -6 or -8 may be required.
Users should verify the Time Shift whenever the broker or New York changes between summer and winter time.
