I want to build a PC to work with MT5, what do you advise and why? - page 60

"battlebots" don't race at home :-)

It's not boots, it's beagles.

I have already 8-9 years work. 2 channels to the Internet with auto-switching in case of increase of losses in the network, UPS keeps half an hour.

Well, it's ok, it'll work then ) there are 2 versions on intel 5 and on raisin 7, cost the same.

see nm tech process, mobile intels seemed to come out more modern than the new miracle core.

Ryzen had good mobile chipsets too, see VS comparison.

It's not mobile ones there, it's real ones. Mobile ones come with a U ending

Component Model
CPU
Ryzen 5 5600
RAM 16 GB DDR4 3200
Storage 500 GB NVMe SSD
GPU Integrated or GT 1030
Motherboard B550 ATX
PSU 500W 80+ Bronze
Monitors 2x 24" IPS 1080p

CPU: MT5 is mostly single-threaded but benefits from multiple cores when running several EAs or doing backtesting. These CPUs offer excellent performance per core and enough threads for multitasking.

RAM: MT5 itself doesn’t use tons of RAM, but if you use Chrome, Excel, backtesting, or multiple terminals, 16 GB ensures smooth multitasking.

GPU: MT5 doesn’t require a powerful GPU. Only go discrete if you plan to use multiple monitors or do GPU-intensive tasks outside of MT5.

It's not mobile, it's real. The mobile ones are U-terminated.

There's probably an H at ~65W.

lynxntech #:

There's an H in there for ~65W

Something like that

Maxim Dmitrievsky #:
Sort of.

Ryzen should be more economical due to the new tech process, hence faster

that link is 10 nm and Ryzen will be 4 nm on a similar processor.

Find a similar Ryzen-powered laptop? Compare the processors.

I think Ryzen is faster too.

Even though these laptops are 22 years old. I'm just asking if there's anything new for the money.

I want to upgrade too. I made this list. All, of course, obsolete, but with my current one is heaven and earth. Into a micro-ath case.
