In February I built a calculation monster with 2 boo processors with 18 cores each (Intel Xeon E5-2699V3, they were top-end 12 years ago). Total 36 physical cores and 72 threads. I bought 192 mb of memory, also boo. New only X99 motherboard and PSU.
In 50 tonnes I managed. Stones especially do not deteriorate and memory, I hope for another 10 years will be able to work.
One thread is 2 times slower to count than on modern prots and memory, but at optimisation takes the number. I think this machine optimises everything 5 times faster than on the main computer with 4 cores. It consumes about 500 watts at full load.
I've decided on a laptop, in my opinion, it's very convenient.
The main computer is a normal one, which is also convenient. And the monster stands far away so that the noise doesn't interfere and even the monitor is not connected to it. If I need calculations - I switch on the power, it loads agents and they are available on the network. If I don't need it, I switch it off. At idle time it consumes about 100 watts (30 watts of them are spent on 4 fans).
You've got a lot on your plate :)
Acceleration of opta in 5 times for only 50 tr ).
You can probably sell to the cloud as well..... although agents are probably far from the top.Accelerate opta by 5 times for only 50tr )

You can run a test robot to compare it to a modern one.
I have 13790f 64gb to adjust the number of passes to the cores, there is no sense to test on multithreading, the result will be 1v1 with only physical cores.
Not wholesale. Purely to put bots to trade :)
I've been idle for a couple of months and got bored. I decided to start testing crypto with fresh forces.

And for this purpose I am looking at this one: Irbis ISDP1003HA. Costs about 16t.r., 4 cores, 8GB brains, modern processor (speed is not high, but enough to trade, AVX2), passive cooling. Instead of a monitor to configure use some existing TV, and then RDP.
Can I get something less bdsm'noe?) I decided on a laptop, imho, very convenient.
A laptop is noisy, but a MINI-PC server can be taken in a fanless aluminium case.
