Dmitry Fedoseev:

Strange, we were told at school that it was Kutuzov's idea, but not the French for sure. It's obvious it wasn't the French either.

24:20 is stupidity. The prisoners, to cover their tracks, could not have burned everything so thoroughly.

No Russophobia, not even a hint.

Who taught you? An underachiever?

Yesterday on the programme "Clever and Clever" they asked this question and gave a comprehensive answer: The author of these tactics was Barclay-De-Tolly.

So? Are you suggesting we watch 40 minutes of nonsense? You can't write for a minute, or you don't have the stomach for it.

So far, not a single sane argument has been made that it was not Kutuzov's doing, and that argument (from the smart guys and smart girls) risks to be unknown.

You can't even insert a link in a human way!

The commander-in-chief of the Russian army in the war of 2012 was Kutuzov. Such an idea as to burn Moscow, even if not invented by him, could not have been executed without his knowledge, without his order and even without the approval of the Emperor. Maybe, as is now claimed, the idea did not belong to Kutuzov. But this does not change the meaning. The order was given (and he took responsibility for it) by the commander-in-chief with the Emperor's approval.

I have my doubts about today's clever and clever men. Present-day education is no match for the old Soviet one.

Alexandr Saprykin:

I doubt very much about today's clever and clever people. Today's education is a far cry from the old Soviet one.

There's the question of who owned the plan. Turns out the idea was suggested back in 1807. But it was Kutuzov who executed this plan in 1812, not its author.

ps. In general this forumnumym smart guy again failed to sumnichat.

Have you looked, though?

I was not trying to be clever. I only commented on your teachers, although I could have kept silent.

I'd rather not tell you where, from whom and how I studied. You may laugh your head off...

These modern smart guys go to MGIMO. So it's not a question of education, but rather a desire to learn something.

Although I don't mind, I don't want to get an education for a long time. And, in my opinion, the reason for it is "Socialist competition". What normal person would not inflate the marks of his students if his performance bonus depended on it... And what "normal" pupil would try hard if he/she got a "C", and for a few words on the subject he/she would get a "4".

These modern smart people go to MGIMO. So it's not a question of education, it's more of a desire to learn.

Although I don't mind that I have lost the desire to be educated long ago. And, in my opinion, it's because of "Socialist competition". What normal person would not inflate the grades of his students, if his performance bonus depended on it... And what "normal" pupil would try hard if he/she got a "C", and for a few words on the subject he/she would get a "4".

You should shut up about my teachers.

I've never seen anything like that before. You studied in some strange institutions))))

Dmitry Fedoseev:
You should have shut up about my teachers.
Too bad they didn't teach you how to behave.

Alexandr Saprykin:

I went to an ordinary Soviet school.
