Where's the gold?
I'm buying, pivot 3650 as you can see is broken.
I trade instrade, so you can see for yourself, I can move 20 times a day), but the main long is until 14 GMT, and ouch UTC, or you don't know the kids).
where is the gold?
And nothing has changed: from H2... to W1 - upward trend....
And nothing has changed: from H2... to W1, the trend is up.....
What can happen in this situation ?
! . A small pullback, to which indicators do not react even on small timeframes ... .
2. A strong pullback, to which even medium timeframes will react..., like H3 or H4 ....
3. A trend reversal that will be visible even on W1.....
And what are your actions...?
All these scenarios should be involved in your Expert Advisors!
But these are your problems, and it's up to you to solve them!
Hi!
Is it worth buying gold at 1130 ?
if there is no trading tool, then
just look at the synthetic: XAUJPY = XAUUSD - 1.0/USDJPY
market buying XAUJPY is buying XAUUSD (buy gold, sell dollars) with simultaneous buying USDJPY (buy dollars, sell yen) with the same USD turnover.
for trading look for paired trading panels in the marketplace and codobase(which is unlikely), so that they correctly calculate volumes and maintain virtual orders and positions.
(or look for DC with available XAUJPY instrument - somewhere in the region of Australia-Japan-Malaysia may be, i.e. where both yen and gold are actively traded by regional exchanges).
PS/ hope I didn't mix up anything in the synthetic formula
According to your picture, I don't think we should expect a serious correction sooner than 4200/oz.
Where are these trades executed, and which exchanges generate this data?
Also, where do our buy or sell orders created in the MQL5 terminal for XAUUSD+ actually go?
Could you please clarify — perhaps it’s a basic question — but where do the Order book / Market Depth Level 1, 2, and 3 data for spot gold (XAU) traded against USD or USD+ actually come from?

XAUUSD is an off-exchange contract-for-difference (CFD). Therefore, there is no centralized order book for XAUUSD. Any XAUUSD order book that you can see would only be for your specific broker-dealer's pool of traders/liquidity providers.
XAUUSD orders go straight to your broker-dealer/pool--nowhere else.
In contrast, U.S. gold futures are centralized in the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) and are the most liquid gold contracts traded, e.g., GC, MGC, and 1OZ. Unfortunately, you can't access them from your location.XAUUSD is an off-exchange contract-for-difference (CFD). Therefore, there is no centralized order book for XAUUSD. May I ask your opinion on one more thing:
Is it reasonable to use the GC (CME gold futures) price as a reference when analyzing or determining the price of XAUUSD?
Also, is it technically possible to obtain the kind of market depth data I mentioned (L1/L2/L3) directly from the broker’s own liquidity pool — the one that XAUUSD orders are actually routed to?
I assume there aren’t that many major liquidity providers handling these flows, right?
After all, the market price must be formed somewhere — so these data must be consolidated at least in a few main venues where execution actually happens?
