Requests & Ideas - page 688

G'day and Compliments of the Season All,

Could I pick your brains, and ask if you have used, or are using the attached indicator.

An insight into what it is will be tremendously appreciated.

Kind regards and thanks.

Will

Mladen,

Could I please have your learned opinion and expertise?

 Thanks

Thank you, Mladen.

I originally chose  renkomeanlivechart_indicator_alerts because of the alert function coded into it: it alerts when a renko box direction is different from the earlier one.

Following your link I found renkomeanlivechart_indicator_nmc_alerts.ex4 here: https://www.forex-tsd.com/forum/debates-discussions/18331-new-metatrader-4-compatible-indicators/page13#comment_737177

It works, although the alert function is not flawless since it repeats the alerts to the same direction several times. I did not find the source code of it, so only the author (MrTools) could modify it.

If you know other functional renko indicator with alerts please, share the link. Great would be if the source code was also available. :)

hello mladen,

do you have an stoch rsi indicator (which was developed by Tushard Chande and Stanley Kroll ) for mt5?.

Because I'm looking for one. It's for my strategy that I worked on tradingview and want to transfer it to metatrader because I feel more comfortable to work with it.

Found this link here to better understand what I meant: https://www.tradingview.com/wiki/Stochastic_RSI_(STOCH_RSI)

I tried the basic indicator "stochastic oscillator" in mt5 but the results weren't similar to the indicator from tradingview. But it goes a little bit in the right direction.

Hope you can help me.

Thank you in advance.

Edit: I attached a picture. As you can see there are the settings of this indicator from tradingview. I'm looking an exactly version for mt5 where I can replicate it.

Aunt Google says:

https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/21956 and https://www.mql5.com/en/code/541

Or this can be used https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/179671/page21 (if pre-smoothing is set to <=1, then it is the same as stochastic of rsi - only this version has 7 types of rsi)

Thx for reply but the link to the indicator doesn't help because it's different even when I change the settings. The problem for me are the spikes.

thx for your reply. Unfortunately it doesn't help much.

In tradingview there are 2lines. the posted indi just have 1line but it goes in right direction because I tried a couple of settings out. But it can't replicate the visual look of the indi on tradingview. Maybe I could be wrong...

But thanks for your effort. Maybe it's better when I look for someone on mq5l who can code this for me and have experience with tradingview.

How are "the spikes" a problem in those versions, when they are producing same results as the tw versions?

Hello mladen,

sry but they are not producing the same results as the tw version. I don't know if you tried it out. Because of that "spikes" some information are missing for me that is really important. Its especially about the orange line in tw version in comparison to the lines of mt5 version.

I attached 2 pictures. Please compare them and you will notice the difference. That is what I meant that it doesn't help much.

I use for both indicators same settings and to test it more further I change in mt5 version +/- 2periods because I thought that it could be replicate at as in tw version.

But thanks for your answers.

Edit: except of that the candle chart are not 100% same but it doesn't matter..the difference is too far noticeable.

I did not try it (I am not using tw) but from what I see, if the settings are the same (same price and the rest), then the results have to be the same (including setting the smoothing mode to be the same - tw is using sma, mt5 is using lwma - they can not be the same if those are not set to be the same)

PS: when using so short periods for calculation, difference in data makes a large difference. Try using longer periods for comparison
