AureonNexus — 10 Months of Development, Live Testing and User Experience
AureonNexus is the result of around 10 months of continuous development, testing and improvement, from the first internal versions to the current release.
During this period, the EA has been tested under different market conditions and improved based on live trading, backtests, technical testing and user feedback.
The purpose of this article is to show the development journey of AureonNexus, the performance of my own live account, user-shared results and part of the testing process.
My Live Account Performance
One of the most important parts of AureonNexus development has been running it on a real trading account.
The image below shows the statement and monthly performance of my personal account.
This account has been running through different months and different versions of AureonNexus.
One negative month can also be seen in the history. Based on my own review, a VPS issue during that period disrupted the EA's normal operation. After identifying the issue, the VPS setup and operating conditions were corrected.
VPS stability, internet connection, broker conditions, spreads and user settings can all affect the performance of an automated trading system.
From Version 1 to the Current Release
AureonNexus did not start in its current form.
Over roughly 10 months, different parts of the EA have been repeatedly tested and improved. New versions were developed based on real trading observations, technical issues and user feedback.
The current version combines three independent trading strategies inside one MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisor.
More Control Over Trading Behavior
Users can control important parts of the EA, including strategy activation, trading volume, Stop Loss and Take Profit management, spread limits, economic news filtering and information panels.
User-Shared Results
During the development of AureonNexus, several users shared screenshots of their trading activity and results with me.
These screenshots show different user experiences with AureonNexus. Results can vary depending on settings, broker conditions, account size, VPS stability and market conditions.
User Experience in Different Market Conditions
Feedback from users trading on different accounts and under different conditions has been an important part of the AureonNexus development process.
This feedback has helped identify possible issues and improve later versions.
Backtests and Strategy Tester
Alongside live trading, backtesting has also been an important development tool.
The MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester has been used to study strategy behavior and different configurations.
Backtests are historical simulations. Real execution conditions such as spread, slippage, data quality and broker execution speed may produce different results.
Three Independent Strategies in One EA
AureonNexus combines three independent trading strategies inside one Expert Advisor.
Users can decide which strategies they want to enable based on their preferred trading style and risk level.
Each strategy also uses separate settings and trade identification.
Economic News Filter
AureonNexus includes an economic news filtering system.
Users can configure the EA to pause new entries around selected economic events and choose which currencies and impact levels should be monitored.
