Astra AI — When Artificial Intelligence Becomes Part of the Trading Process

Modern traders have to process a huge amount of information every day: price movements, indicator signals, volatility, economic news, open positions, and changing market conditions across multiple timeframes. Manual analysis takes time, while emotional decisions can easily lead to costly mistakes.

Astra AI was created to simplify this process.

Astra AI is an AI-powered Expert Advisor with a built-in intelligent assistant that analyzes the market, generates trading decisions, and can execute them automatically when permitted by the user.

How Astra AI Works

You do not need to manually study every chart, compare multiple timeframes, or search for entry and exit points. Connect your preferred AI provider, enable Auto analysis and Auto entry, press ARM AUTO, and confirm the activation of automatic mode.

Astra AI collects current market data, analyzes several timeframes, considers technical indicators, spread, volatility, and available news information, and then sends this structured context to the selected AI model.

The resulting decision may include BUY, SELL, or HOLD, confidence level, suggested entry price, Stop Loss, Take Profit, risk percentage, decision validity period, a short explanation, and the main identified risks.

If the market conditions are unclear or the confidence level is insufficient, the AI can return HOLD and no trade will be opened.

AI Decision-Making with Local Execution Control

An AI response is never sent directly to the trading server without verification. Before execution, Astra AI performs its own local safety checks.

The Expert Advisor checks the current spread, decision age, distance between the current price and the suggested entry, minimum confidence, Stop Loss and Take Profit validity, risk-to-reward ratio, number of open positions, daily trade limit, daily loss limit, trading cooldown, nearby high-impact news, available margin, and symbol-specific trading restrictions.

Position volume is calculated automatically according to the configured risk. Astra AI also considers the minimum and maximum lot size, volume step, available margin, existing positions, pending orders, and the total directional volume limit for the selected symbol.

If any safety condition is not met, the trade is blocked and the reason is displayed on the panel.

Manual and Automatic Modes

Astra AI can be used both as an analytical tool and as an automated trading system.

In manual mode, simply press ANALYZE, review the AI decision, and press APPLY only if you agree with the proposed scenario.

In automatic mode, Astra AI periodically analyzes the market and can execute suitable decisions without additional confirmation. To prevent accidental activation, automatic actions require double confirmation: first press ARM AUTO, then press CONFIRM AUTO within seven seconds.

The automatic mode is session-based and must be activated again after restarting the Expert Advisor or trading terminal.

Built-In AI Assistant

Astra AI is more than an automated market analysis and trade execution system. Its panel includes a built-in AI assistant that can answer questions about the market, the current chart, and the trading situation.

For example: “What is the current market trend?”, “What risks should be considered before opening a trade?”, “Analyze the current open position and explain the possible scenarios.”

The assistant can also analyze positions opened by Astra AI, provide a summary of upcoming economic news, explain the reasoning behind a trading decision, assess market risks, and help the user better understand the current situation.

Astra AI features include multi-timeframe market analysis, BUY, SELL, and HOLD decisions, automatic Entry, Stop Loss, and Take Profit calculation, risk-based position sizing, open-position analysis, economic news summaries, automatic entries, automatic position management, manual decision execution, daily trading limits, spread protection, news filtering, API usage control, a built-in AI assistant, and support for custom market questions.

Support for Multiple AI Providers

Astra AI is not tied to a single neural network or AI model. Users can select OpenAI, Gemini, Grok, Anthropic, DeepSeek, OpenRouter, or a compatible custom API gateway.

The API key is entered through the Expert Advisor inputs. The model field can be left empty, allowing Astra AI to discover and select an available text model automatically. A specific model ID can also be entered manually when required.

API access is provided by the selected AI provider. Request costs, free quotas, subscriptions, and usage limits depend on that provider and are not included with Astra AI.

Clear Neon Interface

The Astra AI panel displays the connection status, selected provider and model, request and token usage, current symbol, Bid, Ask, spread, active operating mode, latest AI decision, confidence level, calculated Entry, Stop Loss, Take Profit, a short explanation, and risk warnings.

All essential actions are available directly from the chart: ANALYZE, POSITION, NEWS, APPLY, ASK, Auto analysis, Auto entry, Auto manage, ARM AUTO, RESET GUARD, and CLEAR.

What Happens When the AI Is Unavailable?

If the selected provider is temporarily unavailable, the request quota has been reached, or an API error occurs, Astra AI does not continue sending endless requests. Its built-in protection pauses new calls, follows the provider’s retry period when available, and displays a clear status message on the panel.

A separate local strategy based on EMA, RSI, and ATR is provided for testing. This local fallback does not use an external AI provider and should not be confused with an AI-generated trading decision.

Important Risk Notice

Astra AI is a trading tool and does not guarantee profits, accurate AI responses, successful order execution, or future performance. Artificial intelligence can make mistakes, misinterpret market data, or generate an unsuccessful decision. Market conditions can also change between analysis and execution.

Historical results and strategy testing results do not guarantee future performance. Trading financial instruments, especially with leverage, involves significant risk and may result in a partial or complete loss of funds.

Users remain fully responsible for their AI provider costs, configuration, trading decisions, executed trades, and risk management. Astra AI should always be tested on a demo account before being used with real funds.
